Two and a half months later

The unusual odor of cardboard boxes and floor cleaner stains Bambi's nose as she finishes packing up her childhood bedroom- the emptiness of her safe place making her sigh.

After a struggling two months the official day is finally here, the day where Bambi moves into the cottage with Harry.

It's been a very stressful few months for the two of them, Harry spending every second of daylight in the flower shop and Bambi working her butt off in an cafe- helping raise up some money for essentials.

The place the doe worked at was called Molly's, once an old diner in the 50's that's now a cafe with a beautiful garden out front- the total look of the place drawing Bambi in the moment she saw it when she was driving around one day. (authors note: let's see who gets it!)

Now after tons of hard work, they officially made the down payment this past week- the wish that has been bubbling up in the two of them finally coming true.

"You sure you got everything?" Angela questions her daughter as Bambi wraps her lava lamp with bubble wrap- carefully placing it into one of the moving boxes that had, "Bambi's Items!" written across it.

"I'm sure I do. If I forgot something I'll just come here and grab it- m'not too far away." The berry sighs as she shuts the final box, taking the role of pink duct tape and tearing off a bit with her teeth- sealing it closed.

"I can't believe my baby is moving out." Her mother sniffles as Bambi turns around, the peach pouting as she takes her in her arms- resting her chin on her shoulder as she holds in tears, "I'll only be twenty minutes away. I'll come over every Wednesday for dinner, okay?" Angela nods as she pulls away, taking out a hanker chief and patting her eyes clean- letting out a small laugh when she sees Bambi on the verge of tears as well, "that would be lovely, sweetheart. I'm just gonna miss seeing my sunshine everyday."

"I'm sorry, mom." Bambi frowns and her mom shakes her head, wiping her nose with the material, "you're grown now, honey. I should've seen it coming."

And with that there's a knock on the open door, Bambi's dad leant against the doorframe as he watches the seen unfold- his eyes stinging as Bambi smiles at him, "hey, dad."

Bambi absolutely adores her parents, the two of them being inspirations to her since she was little. They're two of the sweetest people in her life, both of them being accepting and comforting when she needed them to be. Of course they had their moments- but at the end of the day she knew she can trust them with anything.

"Hey sweetie." He hums as he lifts his glasses up, wiping his eyes of any tears as Bambi runs to him, throwing her arms around his shoulders and pulling him close- hiding her face into his neck.

"I'm gonna miss making your pb&j's every morning." He sighs as he hugs her close, Bambi laughing as she cries into his shoulder- feeling his hand pat her back.

"I'm gonna miss that too."

Suddenly there's a car horn going off from outside, the familiar sound beeping from Harry's Cadillac Devllie- the signal meaning it's time to split.
