Bambi Sage Petal

— "Bambi, honey. Can we talk real quick?" My mother calls me, confusion and fear filling my senses from the simple sentence.

Oh gosh did I do something?

"Coming, ma!" I shout back timidly before shutting the book I was reading close, getting off my bed and exiting my room to meet her downstairs.

When I enter the kitchen my mother and father are sitting at the dining table, my stomach dropping the second I see them two.

I definitely did something wrong.

"Hi, sweetie." My dad greets me when he notices my presence, gesturing to the seat across from them with his head. "Hey.." I gulp whilst walking towards them, pulling out the chair and sitting in it. "How are yo-" My mother starts but I cut her off before she could finish. "I-I didn't do it." They both laugh at that, my face flushing red and my eyebrows pinching in. "You're not in trouble, honey. We just need to talk about something we noticed."

"Okay.." I drag out suspiciously, my ankles crossing underneath the table as they look at each other- my father clearly pondering on what to say.

"You and Harry.." He begins with and my eyes go wide, my mother taking note of my expression right away.

Oh no.

"I-I can explain-" I stumble over my words and my mother smiles at me while my father sighs. "Yes! I win! Pay up, mister." She exclaims and my dad hands her fifty bucks, my eyebrows furrowing and mouth agape as I watch the exchange unfold before me.

"I'm.. so confused." I click my tongue and they look back at me, my mom overridden with joy and my father seemingly happy as well. "Honey.. I figured something was happening between the two of you the moment he left last year." She explains and my mouth drops- her hands clapping together excitedly. "My baby has a boyfriend! Who's not that Matthew boy! I-I need to call Edna!" My mother gets up and rushes into the living room, heading towards the home phone as I sit there- open mouthed as my father chuckles.

"Excited isn't she?" He mentions and I shake my head, trying to clear my thoughts. "Soo.. you guys are fine with Harry and I?" My dad hums, grabbing my limp hand off the table and into his. "As long as you're happy, we're happy, sunshine. And we can tell that Harry makes you feel that way."

I smile at that as my dad kisses my hand- letting go of it before getting up from the table. "I love you, sweetie."

"I love you too, dad."

"That's it?" Harry laughs and I join, nodding my head as he pulls me closer into his side. "Yep. They're just really happy we're together, especially my mom." I answer with a grin.

Currently we're in my backyard, laying on a blanket where we had our first picnic as I explain to him what happened earlier today- my head rested on his chest as he plays with the ends of my hair.

"That's" He sighs, a smile on his face as he looks at the canopy of trees above of us. "That's good."

Harry looks down at me and my stomach flips a little, his meadow irises watching me closely when I lean towards him, my lips skimming his lightly before he captures my bottom lip- the soft friction making a small fire erupt inside me.

"How did I go ten months without you?" He mumbles against me, the phrase making my heart burst as his hand comes to caress my face. "Such an angel. M'so lucky to have you."

"I'm the lucky one here." I responded and he shakes his curly head, pulling myself on top him.

"I love you, Bambi. So much." He beams and places a kiss into the crook of my neck and I titter at the ticklish feeling. "God- I just wanna keep saying it over and over and over. It's not even good enough to explain how I feel." Harry continues drowsily, sounding caught up in his own high as he sucks a patch of skin right under my jawline.

"I love you more, dreamy." I blubber as he covers me with pillowy kisses and love bites, the feeling balmy and making a shiver rise up my spine.

Very short chapter today! Only because I wanna start the next chapter with smut :)

Also! Now the parents know! This whole time I was planning on them accepting Harry and Bambi because I love her parents too much to make them assholes or anything like that.

I've grown such an attachment to them.. which I know is weird to say since it's literally a fanfic couple but I have. I love you Bambi and Harry! But your guy's time is coming to a close <3
