Still the 5th of August 2014:
After Daan arrived at the training field in her pink unicorn pyjama's she had t minutes to change clothes, and so she did. Her and the team all walked slowly towards the pitch. They saw a extraordinary amount of 'non footballers' standing on the pitch. Luckily, their trainer already arrived before they did. "Hey! What are all these people doing here" some of the girls asked him. "Well, since the season has ended, we now will be starting working towards the new and fresh season that's lying ahead" he answered. "Therefore, today we will he taking some pictures!" he continued. "Oh for fuck sakes, I had no time to fix my goddamn hair this morning and now we have to sit in front of the cameras?!" Daan mumbled to herself. "So please, would you all be so kind to form a line and take a seat in front of this white screen one after another!" The coach shouted, so that everyone could hear him clearly. Daan poked her elbow into her teammate next to her saying: "hey, would you be so kind to lend me some hair elastics (is this even an English word lmao) so I can fix this disaster on top of my head?". "Of course you can! But please, next time, remember that my arm's still broken...." her teammate answered in light pain. "Oh haha whoopsie. But thanks!" Daan said with a smile. "C'mon girls, keep on walking please" is what the coach had to say to Daan and her teammate since they were a bit distracted, and so they kept on walking little by little towards the photographer. "Next one please!" The photographer shouted, since it was Daan's turn now. "Oh I pray to god that my hair looks okay right now. Damn" is what went through Daan's mind as she stood in front of the camera. "Cheeeeseee"
"Ugh my laugh is the ugliest thing, like, EVER" daan thought. After all the 'media stuff' was finally done, the girls could start their training.
After the training session finished, the girls went back to the changing room to change clothes and have a quick shower of course. The first training of the new season went amazing! Daan gave it all she had and made her coach proud, like she always did. While they were having a shower, one of her teammates asked Daan: "hey, but why did you decide to show up dressed as a pink unicorn this morning". "Oh yeah, well... you know. Sometimes you forget to set your alarm and stuff..." Daan answered. "Doesn't your mum wak-" "no. No she does not. I'm 23. Duh" is what Daan said while interrupting her team mate to prevent an possibly awkward situation. "Oh yeah that's true. You're a big girl now hihi!" Her teammate said trying to make fun of Daan "yeah yeah yeah how funny. I'm a 'big' girl ha ha ha.." is what Daan answered while rolling her eyes. "Thanks for reminding me!"
While Daan was walking towards her car, still wearing her PSV training outfit because she didn't want to be a unicorn anymore, she saw her coach waiting for her at her car. "hmm, weird" she thought. "What does he need from me lol".
She continued walking. "Hey Daan!" her coach said while waving at her. "Hey heyyyy! What's the matter?" Daan answered. "Oh I just wanted to tell you that you did amazing in training today! But well... should I've been expecting different from you?" He said with a little laugh. "Hahaha, thanks coach! I like hearing that from you, as you know." Daan said. "But, there must be something special. You never wait for me at my car...". "Well, yeah there is. I wanted to tell you before the training, but I saw you running in as a pink unicorn, so it thought that wasn't the right time to tell you" her coach responded. Daan blushed.
"The manager and I have decided to put you on the transfer list". Daniëlle couldn't believe what she just heard. "Wh- why? Why do you want me to leave?". "Look, it's not like that. The manager and I have been discussing this because of your incredible performance last season, scoring 47 goals and giving 23 assists! You've had your best season so far!" Her coach said. While still being in shock Daan responded with: "but coach, how am I meant to prepare for a new big chapter in my life with so little time left??". "Don't get me wrong, we won't put you on the transfer list for this season. We will put you on for the next. Her coached answered. "So, what does that mean?" Daan asked. "It means that the upcoming season will probably be your last season here at PSV". Daan couldn't find the right words to respond, so she looked down and started trampling with her feet because of her nerves she got instantly. "But coach, wh-. But how will I- but then that means I have to say goodbye to this team.... Does anyone already know this?" Daan asked. "No. No one does. And we want to keep it that way until we officially announce this as a club. We want you to not tell anybody about this conversation and all I just told you." he said. "What about my family? Can I tell them?" Daan asked immediately. "Uhm, well. I guess you could? As long as they remain silent as well, you know...". "Okay. Well. Thanks for letting me know, I guess?" Is what Daan said whilst opening the door of her car. "But hey, always remember that we've made this decision for you. This will be a big step in your career. The best is yet to come" her coach said whilst grabbing Daniëlle's arm that was opening the door of her car. "Thank you." Daan said with love, but whilst still being in shock of what just happened. She got in her car and drove of the her house, or should I say: her parent's house....- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
