I stood and looked from my mom to Damon's lifeless body. I couldn't bring myself to do it.
She looked at me knowingly and nodded.
~*Three Months Later*~
I looked in the mirror and sighed. I hope I look okay.
The door behind me opened.
"You look beautiful." My dad said with a smile on his face. "I'm so happy for you."
He kissed my cheek making me blush.
"You ready." He said holding out his arm.
I nodded.
We walked out the door and Stephanie met us at the double doors holding her flowers.
She smiled at me before walking through the doors as the music played.
My dad and I waited about a minute before my song started to play. The doors opened and he lead me through.
I looked up to see a smiling Damon in a Taylor's tux standing to the priest.
My father gave me away and I stood in front of the man I loved. The ceremony was a blur until we said our "I dos."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." I squealed and jumped into his arms as he held me up and kissed me passionately.
"I love you more than you'll ever know Mrs. Richards." He said with a boyish grin.
"I love you too, Mr. Richards." I said and kissed him again.
~*1 Year Later*~
"Hey honey. Can you help me bring in the groceries?" I called to Damon in the kitchen.
"Yeah hold on." He called from the living room.
I walked in to find a sleeping baby Serenity sleeping on his chest. A smile crept to my lips as I sat next to him.
"Here. You hold her. I'll get the rest." He said picking her up slowly making sure not to wake her.
"No. I'll get it just hold her." I said kissing his lips and getting the rest.
When I walked back into the living room I found a sleeping Damon wit a still sleeping Serenity. I pulled out my phone and took a few pictures before covering them both with a blanket.
All that was running through my mind was how did I get so lucky?
