"ted, i honestly dont understand how you have such an amazing girlfriend." i joke. "well i dont understand how you got into a relationship with you having *random diagnosis* but somehow people still like you" he retorted back to me. i know he was joking because thats his type of humour but i didnt take it as a joke. "i-b-but-" i try to come back with a statement to make him shut up but i start stuttering on my words as i try to hold back my tears.

schlatt's pov

"you really do love them dont you?" carson asks me. ive been faintly listening in to their conversation with ted for the past half an hour whist talking to carson. "yea, i would honestly do anything for them. they're my everythin-" i get cut off by ted saying "*random diagnosis* but somehow people still like you." i look over and see y/n starting to tear up, choking on their words. i was listening before and could hear that they were talking about relationships. i have to step in.

"are you okay?" i say walking over to them and putting my arm over their shoulders. they didnt say anything to me and just looked up to me. i could tell their eyes were watering and they were about to cry. "ted, what did you do?!!" i ask him starting to get really defensive of them. "i made a joke and it went to far, im sorry schlatt." he said looking at me putting both his hands up slightly.

"dont say sorry to me, say it to them!" i say slowly getting louder and louder. he then turns around to them and apologizing. "i-its f-fi, i-im fine." they say looking up at me; practically screaming. i realize how loud i am and turn 180 degrees and pull y/n into a hug. "im sorry for being so loud." i say snuggled into their neck as ted just stands there and watching this beautiful moment.

"its f-fine, i get it, you got protective, ya fucking simp" they said still slightly stuttering due to being in tears about a minute before, but still being able to tease me and laugh it off. y/n turns around and signals ted to join in on the group hug. he looked at me as a nodded showing him that the problem was resolved. he joined in on the hug and everything after that, went just as normal as it was before. so not normal at all but as normal as you can get with our group of friends.

a/n; IM BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!! um as it says at the beginning, this imagine is gender neutral so anyone can read it and not feel left out. if i slipped up and wrote 'she' in any part of it, please feel free to point out my mistake as i am VERY open to criticism. but yeah, its also a bit different in the fact that i changed the pov once. which i dont believe ive done in any chapter but tbh im too lazy to check.
