Let me start from the very beginning, where it all started and my life turned around...
Yesterday
I was sitting in the midst of my room, surrounded by my crazy friends. We were chatting happily and discussing about my wedding which was tomorrow.
Yeah... I know what you all are thinking.
The bride discussing her own wedding???
Has she no shame at all??But let me assure you, I am no different than all the other girls of my traditional family, but I was just not thaaatttt shy. Besides, I was with my friends.
"So, Hoori ... You nervous?? "
My best friend and my cousin, Shanzay asked raising her eyebrows."No, of course not... Why does everyone keep asking me that?? " I said rolling my eyes.
"Because that's how it's supposed to be... You moron. "My other cousin Ayesha said with a sigh.
" Well... You know me. "I said shrugging.
" Yes hoori.. We know you and that's why we're asking you. " This was Laila, my colleague and my friend.
It WAS true.
To the people beyond my friend circle, which ,mind you, consisted of only a certain amount of people (mainly these three), I was an extremely shy, reserved and introvert, innocent girl.
But only the people closest to me knew how straight forward and short tempered I was.
I am complicated.
Don't worry, you'll get to know me soon. 😜"Yeah... That's not what I meant. You all know the REAL me. " I said stressing the word "real".
" Yup... That's true.. We know how shameless you are. But wait till your in-laws know.. Don't show them your true colors all too soon."
Shanzay laughed pushing her hair back.Shanzay was beautiful but sometimes too naive. But thanks to me she was not too innocent. We had a considerable age gap of 4 years between us. But that didn't stop us from being best friends. We shared everything, I mean EVERYTHING.
"Well, don't you worry about that Shan darling. My in-laws are cool. " I said straightening my yellow kurti.
Yeah.. You guessed it right. Today was my haldi. I was wearing a yellow gharara with golden embroidery and a yellow kurti with pink dupatta, which was set perfectly on my head.
I was wearing floral jewellery. My long brown hair were braided in a fishtail."Yeah... But in-laws are in-laws for God's sake. "Ayesha added.
Ayesha was also my very close friend. But she lived in another city and was pursuing medicine, so she couldn't visit more often.
Shanzay ,on the other hand was a student of fine arts, so we spent more time together.
As for me, I had completed my masters in political science and wanted to be a lecturer. But for now, I was teaching kids at a school, which I didn't mind.
And now I was about to enter into married life.
I was about to retort with a smart ass reply when I heard someone screaming my name.A/N : hey guys, hope you are liking the story too far. Plz do vote and share my story.
P. S. Plz send me covers..
