Chapter 10: Interview and Second Exam

There was knocking at my door and the alarm clock was beeping continuously, which was irritating.

"Mika! You're almost late!" Dad called.

"Oh crap!" I exclaimed and quickly threw the covers off. 

I rushed to the bathroom and got ready, then rushed back to my room to get dressed. I tied my hair up in its normal style and rushed out of the house with a breakfast burrito in my hand.

"Bye Dad, see you!"

I caught up with the others and panted. Naruto and Sakura sweat dropped when they saw me taking a bite out of my burrito.

"What?" I ask.

"Why are you eating right now?" Sakura asked. 

"I literally woke up like ten minutes ago," I replied and took another bite.

Sasuke shook his head and when we got there, I saw my old team. I also saw a bunch of other people here as well.

"Woah," Naruto said. "Nice place. What is it?"

"This is the place for the second exam," Anko replied. "It's the forty-fourth battle training zone, but we call it 'The Forest of Death'," 

Anko was smirking.

"F-Forest of Death?" I stuttered. 

Okay, I admit, I was a bit intimidated.

I saw Naoki shiver slightly.

"Why, are you scared? Mika?" Kentaro whispered tauntingly.

"I'm not scared!" I retorted loudly. "Why would I be? Nothing like that could scare me!"

Anko smacked the burrito out of my hand. "This is NO time to be messing around. Get serious!"

I sulked. "My burrito..."

I could see Sasuke and Rika both shaking their heads at my reaction.

I looked back up and was taken by surprise when a rock in the shape of a square was moving around and following Naruto.

"That's a lousy disguise!" Naruto exclaimed. "There's no such thing as a square rock,"

"You saw through my disguise again," The box replied. "Good job, boss. Just what I'd expect from my greatest rival!"

I was confused since there was a talking box. 

The box was thrown off and it turns out, it was the children that Kankuro was harassing the other day. 

I looked back up again and all the sudden a box thing was here and it kept following Naruto around.

"I'm Moegi the fastest kunoichi in preschool, check me out!"

"I love algebra call me Udon!"

"And I'm the number one ninja in the village, Konohamaru! And when we're all together we're the Konohamaru Ninja Squad!"

You've got to be kidding me.

"Yeah, I knew it was you guys the whole time," Naruto replied, uninterested. "What do you guys want? I'm about to take the second phase of the Chunin Exams and you're interrupting me. I don't have time to play around,"

"We didn't come to play around, boss, we're here for business!" Konohamaru replied. 

"Yeah, we came for an exclusive interview," Moegi added.

Naruto suddenly became interested. "An interview?"

"Yeah, we were assigned to interview you for the academy's newspaper," Konohamaru answered.
