Thea blinked.

Elijah blinked.

Thea blinked.

Elijah blinked.

Zara blinked.

Then Thea thought Elijah and her had been blinking and staring for way too long, to the point that it was creepy but luckily Ric spoke up, breaking them from their trance.

"This is Miss Gilbert, she is the brains behind this school system."

Thea shook her head and got back to her senses. "Right, yes. Hi, I'm Thea Gilbert." She offered her hand to the slightly startled Freya who shook her hand. "Well, Theodora but Thea is okay." She paused when she realised she was shaking her hands for a little too long but she couldn't help herself not to do a quick scan of the newest Mikaelson.

She was obviously gorgeous, as much as it killed her to say it; Esther and Mikael had some pretty good genes, with sparkling emerald green eyes and honey blonde hair and killer legs like oh my god, that woman is made of legs!

"Hope had actually made a request to meet you." Ric chimes, a smile plastered on his face as he watched in amusement his daughter figure being so awkward. "She told us that you two already met so we figured that she'll be more comfortable with you and she agreed."

The brunette raised her eyebrows, not expecting the gesture but brushed it off, she welcomed her guests into her office and they settled down by her desk. "Well, I know I said you'd be seeing me around, I didn't expect this." She joked, sitting on her chair.

"I am sorry, I don't think I've introduced you to my brother. This is Eli-" Freya began with a knowing smile but got interrupted by Elijah himself. "There's no need for that sister. Miss Gilbert and I are quite familiar with each other." His tone was quiet and tired making the headmistress furrow her brows.

Those hazel brown eyes that used to twinkle a thousand stars had dimmed and Thea was pretty sure that the bags under his eyes had bags. The sides of his face looked darker due to his unshaven cheeks and his hair was floppy, the way he was carrying himself, he looked ill, more so, he looked exhausted.

"Um, you two knew each other?" Hope questioned, a little surprised that her Uncle Elijah actually had friends. The said friend had exchanged looks with the original before sneaking a peak at Alaric who suddenly found the artwork from the children more interested.

"We're . . . old friends." Thea glared at her father figure when he didn't try his best to hold back his laughter, she gave a large smile to the girls in front of her while whispering profanities under her breath.

Theadora was straightening her papers, making her desk a little neater before placing black framed glasses on her. Since she was a vampire, she obviously didn't need glasses but it was one thing that reminded her of her human days, that didn't stop Alaric from rolling his eyes at her antics.
