Thirdy is smiling widely at the crowd while searching for someone but his smile faded when he can't find that person. 'Baka di na talaga nya ako mahal' he thought. He erased that thought and smiled to his teamates and congratulated the opposite team. As the announcer is finishing the program, he suddenly realized that it has been 3 years since he went here to Japan for this team and for the past 3 years, he was longing for his family and of course, her.
There was an after party for the team at a bar in the city. Thirdy was a bit hesitant because he want to call his family first and oh, her.
After leaving the Philippines, he blocked her number as per her request. He also logged out all his social media so he can't see any updates about her. He even told his friends not to mention anything about that lady. Kinaya naman nya ang tatlong taon. Ngunit ngayong tapos na ang kontrata nya, para bang nanabik na syang umuwi at yakapin ang matagal na nyang namimiss.
"Hey Ferdinand, will you grab the vacation leave or you wanna sign for another contract?" his teamate asked him. It was actually the question he's been asking himself since they entered finals. Will he go home? Will he stay?
"Not yet sure dude. Kinda wanna stay, kinda wanna go home. You know, there's no place like home." Both men chuckled. But he's being honest tho.
A week had past since they won the championship and he only have 3 days left to decide. Sabi naman ng coach nila pwede syang on the spot bilhan ng ticket. Iba din, mga yamanin talaga. Sana all.
While contemplating whether he'll go home or not, he decided to install his instagram again. There were flood mentions and messages congratulating him. He browse if her name is there, but there was none. He sighed and decided to post a story.

Right after posting the story, lalong dumami ang notifs nya pero pinagsawalang bahala na lang nya iyon at agad na nagpunta sa profile ng kapatid na si Dani para tumawag. Ngunit, batid sa kaalaman niya, ang nasa kabilang linya ay nag aalinlangan sagutin ang kanyang tawag.
Sa pangatlong pagkakataon ay sinagot na rin naman ito ni Dani at masiglang bumati sa kanyang kuya.
"Hi kuyaaaaaaaaa! I miss you! pero size 8 ha labyu" natawa naman si Thirdy at tumango na lang. "San si mama? papa?" tanong nya sa dalaga.
"Ah, nasa kusina si mama. Wait. Ma!!! Ma si kuya tumawag! MAY HIMALA! mali si nora!"
Dahil sa pag uusap nila ng kanyang pamilya, napagdesisyunan nyang umuwi. At oo, sabay sa pagtalikod nya sa kanya ay pagtalikod din nyang kausapin ang kanyang pamilya. Sakim man sa paningin ng iba pero yun lang ang naisip nyang paraan para hindi nya hanap hanapin ang dalaga. Kaagad syang tumawag sa kanyang coach para magpabook ng ticket. Excited na syang umuwi. Sana may babalikan pa sya. Ngayong pwede na, sana pwede pa. "I hope it's not too late, Boo."
He immediately packed his things and went to the aiport the next day. He didn't tell his family about his return. He wanted to surprise him. As soon as the plane departed, his heartbeat fasten as if he ran miles and miles. He's excited and nervous at the same time. When he arrived at the Philippines, he smiled, closed his eyes and inhaled the air. Upon opening his eyes, he saw a familiar figure standing meters away from him, staring at him intently with her signature smile. He run but the figure was gone. "Am I hallucinating? But, it looks so real. Nevermind. How would she know na uuwi ako ngayon?" he told himself.
