Chapter 42 - Hangout

~Maria's POV~

We were all sitting in the living room eating breakfast when a knock came at the door. Adam went and opened the door. Rob, Kana, Preston, Mat, and Ivy.

"So we were thinking that maybe we just spend today just relaxing and enjoying the day. I know we have a lot to find out about what's going on, but we need a break." Rob said.

"Yeah, I agree with Robbie, we all need a break. Heal up, get some sleep in, etc. So how about a sleepover here."

We all agreed eventually. We decided to just spend the day out in the pool since it was a very hot day out. Adam, Jerome, Burn, and Moonlight all went out to get snacks, some blowup mattresses and drinks. The rest of us went to our rooms, some to their house, to change into a bathing suit. We all about a month ago went and bought bathing suits for us girls. When I walked down, I saw everyone but Midnight outside. I decided to knock on her door.

"Midnight? Are you ok in there?" I heard what sounded like sobbing and saw that the door was left unlocked. I walked in to see her crying on her bed. I sat beside her and hugged her.

"Midnight, what's wrong?"

"How can I just relax if Ty can't. How do you deal with not knowing anything about your boyfriend's whereabouts?"

"Trust me, it's hard. I sometimes still cry myself to sleep. Come on though, let's go on outside. Today's supposed to be all about fun."

"Alright... I guess.,. Let me get ready."

With that I walked out into the hallway and wait for her. When she comes out, we walk down together and she nearly deafens me when she sees Ty up, leaning against the glass door. She runs up and nearly tackles him. I smile at the moment and side-step around them and go outside. I look at the water and settle on just sitting down on one of the pool chairs. We learned that Ivy was abandoned by Mitch's parent, and that she is a cat hybrid. We told her about ourselves in return. Suddenly, there was a loud noise.

"Boo!!!" We hear Adam yell and there was a follow up splash.

"ADAM!!!" We hear Moonlight yell as she surfaces.

We all crack up laughing and I feel someone lift me up. Oh no! I struggle around in their arms trying to get free. Before I can teleport away, I am thrown into the pool and I instantly feel small pain slowly increasing. I start feeling small cuts form. I try swimming up as fast as I can until I become exhausted. I feel 2 arms latch onto me and pull me up out of the water. I gasp for breath and groan as a small headache appears.

"Maria... I'm so sorry. I forgot you were an Enderman hybrid. I forgot lots of water hurts you..." I heard someone say and looked to see Jerome.

"It's alright...Jerome... I just need some rest..." I say while catching my breath. He helped me over back to my chair and wrapped a towel around him. I took a drink of my coke and a bite of my hot dog. I smiled as I watched everyone playing and generally having fun.

Everyone eventually decided on a movie before bed. We all eventually picked to watch The Sinister (I don't care if it's not scary. I don't even think it'a scary. I couldn't think of anything else.) I laughed as most of the other started freaking out. Today was such a great day, if only Ian was hear...
