Safe & sound carry me home

Chapter 7

After we'd performed 'The Best Thing', Jenna and Lynn skipped off stage, and after our set I ran backstage to join them, and hugged the guys congratulating them on our first proper warped tour.

"Well done Tay" said Mike as he patted my back

"Haha thanks you did great as always!"

Lynn ran towards me grabbing her beanie and adjusting it over her head, she grinned at me from under her hair, waiting for me to notice her attempt at being cute and embrace in a hug.

I looked at her standing beside me from the corner of my eye, until she nudged my elbow and I laughed, saying I only wanted to make her wait. She hugged me and swung her legs around my waist, pressing her face into my shoulder.

I saw Jenna glance at me and Lynn from behind Mike, and quickly redirected her eyes to be looking at Jordan, and continued to start a conversation with the rest of We Are The In Crowd. For a moment I thought she may be jealous, but then again that would be something that I would be jealous of, probably not Jenna.

"Tay?" whispered Lynn into my ear

"Mhmm?" I mumbled

"Can I ask you a question?" She pulled apart from the hug, and took hold of my arm and directed back behind backstage.

"Okay... You have a thing for Jenna right?" She asked

I could feel my cheeks burning up into a blush, and I looked back up at her trying to hide the smile starting to form behind a straight expression.

"Maybe-okay-yes." I gave up hiding the blush, and burst out into the bright, red strawberry face of mine when I was either in an awkward situation or embarassed.

Lynn giggled and hugged me

"Naw that's so cute"

"You think so??"

"Of course I do Tay, why wouldn't I? It's so clearly obvious." I laughed and thought about whether Jenna felt the same about me.

I went for it and asked "Do you know how Jenna feels about me?" 

"Well, now that would be telling." Lynn winked at me and left me to wonder what  she completely meant by that sitting on a stool behind backstage.
