Chapter 9

As it finally came to the time to leave, I had decided to wear one of my GK shirts, black ripped skinny jeans and vans, trying to make at least a slight effort in my appearance. I met up with Lynn outside her bus, and we went to meet Alexa and Jenna at the place.

"You ready?" asked Lynn smiling

I nodded "Right then lets go."

I ended up being surrounded in a large room by many people I barely knew or didn't know, with loud music playing in the background. I saw some seats over by the other side of the room and began pushing my way through the crowd towards them when I saw a head with familiar green hair bobbing towards me. Jenna took hold of my arm and led me out of the room into the cool air outside.

"You okay?" She asked quietly. I nodded and looked down at my hand which was now being gently held in hers, and ran my thumb softly over the back of her hand.

"You want a drink?" I asked trying to make some conversation

"I don't drink anymore" she replied shaking her head.

I looked back up at her when she turned around and began walking towards the tree that stood and cowered over some grass, still holding my hand and telling me to follow her. I smiled, suprised by the fact this was actually happening and continued to follow her. We sat down on the grass underneath the tree and I lay on my back, having a clearer view of the hundred million fairy lights, lighting up the sky which had always stunned me because of their natural beauty.

This was perfect. Laying underneath the stars with Jenna Mcdougall. I felt my hand beginning to tighten slightly around hers, not wanting to ever let go and just stay in this moment in time, but I wasn't any doctor with a Tardis.

"So err h-hows the party?" I asked, my voice trembling with excitement

"I like it better when its calm to be honest, to rather just sit somewhere quietly" she beamed back at me in her captivating Australian accent, I once again nodded, overwhelmed by the situation. I looked back up at the sky when I felt her move beside me, and I looked back at her to be staring straight in her face. She blushed and then smiled, which set me off smiling too. So at this point we were less than ten centimetres apart, and I was trying to keep myself from kissing her.

Finally she cupped her hands around my face, and slowly leaned in, softly pressing her lips against mine. It felt like my heart was going to pound out of my chest, and I could feel the sparks within me starting to light. I closed my eyes and moved my arms around to hold her...
