Chapter 4: Alone At Last

Harry, Liam, Zayn and Louis leave to go swimming, which leaves Niall and I alone in the house. "So... What do you want to do?" I ask as I close the door behind the boys.

"Eat." Niall answers.

I giggle at his response. "But we just had breakfast!"

"I know... But I'm like a bottomless pit. I'm always hungry!" Niall laughs.

"Well, we can eat at lunch. Lets figure out what we're going to do right now."

"Okay, just a sec. I really have to use the bathroom!" He says.

"Okily dokily. It's the second door to your left!" I yell as he runs up the stairs.

I pull out my phone and call Lucia. It rings three times before she answers. "Lexi. Now is not the time!" She says. I can tell it's through clenched teeth. I wonder what her and Danny are doing to make her so mad when I called...

"You have to help me! I don't know what to do with Niall!" I plead.

"Feed him. Make something together!" She yells at me. Then she lowers her voice so only I can hear. "Listen, I was just about to make out with Danny and then Niall starts yelling at me. Just do something!"

"Oh my goodness! You were about to make out?! Wait... Niall was yelling at you?" I guess she got annoyed with me, because she hung up. "Rude." I send her a text instead. Just give me an idea! PLEASE! And how was Niall yelling at you?

The one time in my entire life that I need her, she doesn't answer... Just great! Then Niall comes down the stairs, zipping up his pants. "Have you figured something out yet?" He asks once he gets to me.

"Um..." I look down at my phone in my hand, Still no answer from Lucia. She's probably having the time of her life right now! Making out with Danny or something... I look back up at Niall. "No..." I groan. "I'm not that fun to be with. You can go swimming with the guys if you want." I look down at the floor and close my eyes.

I expected Niall to walk right pass me and out the door, but instead he lifts my head with his fingers and kisses me. And this isn't just a kiss like last night at the party either. We are full on making out! Right in my doorway! Our lips part, and he looks into my eyes. "No. Don't say that. You are amazing, and one of the most funest people I know."

I smile at him. "Is 'funest' even a word?"

"Probably not." He laughs.

Hours pass, and Niall and I are holding hands up in a tree, and watching the sunset. "The sunset is so beautiful." I say, turning to Niall.

"Yeah..." He pulls something out of his pocket. "Hungry?" He asks, holding a chocolate bar out to me.

"No." I say, but he shoves it in my mouth anyways. I laugh at him, and he laughs too. "Well, we should start heading to Lucia's now. Her and Danny are probably waiting for us." I say, climbing out of the tree. Niall is climbing down right over my head. We hold hands walking down the dark beach, almost at Lucia's house. Niall is holding my hand so tight, it's not even funny. It's like if he doesn't hold it tight enough, someone might come and take me away.

We walk up to Lucia's door, and knock on it. No answer. "I guess her parents aren't home." I say, then just walk inside. I go over and open the basement door. "Hello?" I call down. "Are you guys down there?"

I turn on the light, and start to walk down the stairs, and I hear a thump. "Danny!" Lucia yells, and I see her getting up off the floor. Niall starts to laugh like a retard, and I laugh with him.

"What's going on down here?" Niall asks. "Do you guys need some privacy?"

"No, I can beat Danny up in front of you guys." Lucia throws a punch, but Danny catches it.

"Sorry love." Danny says kissing Lucia, but she pulls away.

"Jerk." She says back.

I walk over to Lucia, and drag her over to another side of the room. "Niall and I made out! It was like heaven in my mouth!" I squeel, but only loud enough for her to hear me.

"Spare me the details..." Lucia groans.

"σκύλα" I mumble under my breath as she turns back to Danny. That means bitch.

Niall is sitting in Lucia's spot next to Danny... "I don't think so Horan!" She yells. "I'm sitting by my man!" Niall hops into the next seat over, and I snuggle up next to him.

Halfway through the "scary" movie we're watching, I jump out of my seat and say, "I thought we were going to watch something scarrier like the Grudge?!"

Danny jumps up beside me, and throws his arms in the air. "I told you! Lets watch it!" Then he puts the horror film in, then Danny and I go back to our seats. Danny leans over and whispers something in Lucia's ear, but I don't hear it.

Half way through this movie, Lucia is in Danny's shirt with him, and I'm under a blanket with Niall. Niall, Danny and I jump a little at a scary part, and Lucia squeals from being startled by Danny's jump. Danny rubs Lucia's back soothingly, and Niall kisses my forehead. Then once again, there is whispering that I can't hear, and the movie ends. The grudge pops up for a split second, and Lucia jumps back into Danny's arms after already climbing out of his shirt. Niall goes up and hugs her from behind, and I hold her hand calmingly.

"Hey, do you guys want to stay the night? We can all sleep right here in my basement." Lucia asks after she calms down.

Niall and I glance at each other, and nod our heads. "Sure." The three of us say together.

The four of us go upstairs, and get a bunch of pillows and blankets from a closet. Lucia brings Molly down with her.

We make up the spots where we're sleeping, then get under the covers. I curl up beside Niall in our spot, and Lucia curls up to Danny a little ways away. Molly walks around in three circles before laying down on Lucia's pillow, right over her head. Niall and I are talking under the covers, then he starts tickling me, and I giggle. "Use protection!" Danny calls over to us. Lucia laughs really hard.

"You too!" Niall yells back. I giggle some more.
