Chapter 5: Happy Birthday Lucia!

Harry, Zayn, Liam, Louis, Niall, Danny and I are standing over Lucia as she sleeps. Danny is holding a cupcake with a candle sticking out of it. Molly starts to bark randomly. "Molly, shut up!" Harry yells at the dog. Lucia wakes up, and sees us standing there.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" We all scream together. She crawls back under her covers.

Danny pulls her blankets off. "Get out of bed. We're partying. It's noon. You sleep like a cat." Lucia tries to get the blankets back, but fails miserably.

"Five minutes." She groans, reaching for her blankets again. Danny takes them further away.

"Never!" Danny yells. Lucia gives up, and sluggishly goes upstairs to get changed. She comes back down wearing a pink straight neckline dress with thick straps and white sandals. She takes the cupcake from Danny and eats it. Before we leave the house, she puts her hair up in a messy bun. Niall makes the grudge sound, and Lucia punches him in the stomach.

"Shut up, or go home!" Lucia says seriously to Niall. He laughs, but shuts up.I walk Lucia outside, and laugh at Niall. I know he deserved it, but it was still funny. Lucia smiles, and Danny takes her hand. We're walking to the beach, where we're going to party.

We have a barbecue, and Niall eats like, twelve hot dogs. He really is a bottomless pit... Niall and Danny are talking privately, so I walk over and make conversation with Lucia. "So, how's your birthday so far?" I ask. She just rolls her eyes.

"You should have let me sleep in. I like sleep." We both laugh, then Niall and Danny come over.

"We're having a race!" Danny announces. Lucia smiles.

"Have fun with that." Danny shakes his head, pulling Lucia along by her wrist. Niall pulls me along as well. "Wait, what? I'm not! No way."

"Niall's carrying Lexi, and I'm carrying you. We're going to see who wins, and if I do, he has to give me his perky pigs, if he wins, I have to eat a bug." Danny explains.

"If you eat a bug, I'm never kissing you again." Lucia says seriously.

Danny and Niall take off their shoes, and Lucia and I make small talk. "You scared?" She teases.

"A bit. I'm afraid Niall is gonna drop me." We both laugh. "I'm serious." Lucia stops laughing.

"Oh. He won't, don't worry." Lucia pats me on the back. Then we hear Danny calling us over. Niall is drawing a line in the sand with some drift wood, and Harry and Liam are just hanging around.

I approach Niall, and he kisses me on the forehead. I'm just about to get on Niall's back when he sees Danny pick up Lucia wedding style. "Hey, I thought we were doing piggy backs!" Niall yells as he walks over to them. I follow.

"It's your choice. You can give Lexi a piggy back, but you won't get any style points." Danny says.

Harry walks over. "What?" He pipes in, confused. We laugh.

"I can do wedding style too!" Niall yells, scooping me up. Not expecting it, I yelp.

"Don't you dare drop me!" I yell at Niall.

"What?" Harry asks again. He's so clueless...

"Shut-up Harry!" Niall yells. Then Harry walks back over to Liam.

Zayn and Louis make their way over. "Hey guys! Vas happenin'?" Zayn asks.

"A three legged race!" Louis yells sarcastically. "What does it look like?!" I don't think Louis ever talks in a quiet voice... Zayn punches Louis, shutting him up. "Ouch." Now he talks quietly...

"Can we start the race and get it over with?" I demand. Danny and Niall exchange a look, then bolt off. I cling to Niall for dear life. We are right behind Danny and Lucia when Niall trips, and I'm sent flying. I hear Lucia laugh, and I want to punch her. Niall runs up to me, and squats down, laughing. "It isn't funny!" I yell, punching Niall in the shoulder.

I hear Lucia yelling "YES! PERKY PIGS FOR US!" I turn around, and they're crossing the finish line.

Danny and Lucia does a happy dance as they come towards us. Danny taps Niall on the shoulder. "We want perky pigs, Niall." Niall annoyingly pulls them out of his pocket and gives them to Danny.

Lucia and Danny fist bump. "Real fruit!" Lucia says grinning. Niall helps me up, and we make our way back to the party. Molly runs over to Lucia. She picks her up, and cuddles her. When we get back to the party, everyone gets their gifts out.

Lucia opens up all her presents. Her parents got her different colored picture frames, Danny got her an oval silver locket with a picture of him on one side, and Molly on the other. Harry got her the movie "Dear John", and Zayn got her a mirror. Louis got her a a shirt with a picture of a mushroom on it, and it says "YOU'RE A FUNGI", and Liam got her a stuffed dog that looks like Molly. Niall walks over to her, and gives her all the "Grudge" movies. Lucia throws them on the ground, and everybody laughs.

I'm the last one to give her a present. I give her a big photo album. It's filled with pictures of us together since we've became friends. "Even though it hasn't been that long, it's pretty much full!" I say, giving her a big hug. She hugs me back.

"Thanks so much Lexi!" She says, smiling at me as I pull away.

Lucia thanks everyone for the presents, and they all go home.

The sun is setting, so Lucia, Danny, One Direction and I stay on the beach and watch it. After it sets, we all stay outside and watch the stars until late night. We all go back to Lucia's house, and stay the nigth in the basement. Lucia and Louis fool around the whole night, Liam plays with Molly, Harry and Danny become friends and Zayn is reserved with a mirror while Niall and I roam around. Overall, I think Lucia had a great time!
