Damian's Truthful(?) Thoughts

"Don't be so full of yourself, ugly!" Why did I have to feel like this for you out of all people?! Damian bursts out. Both in speech and in thoughts.

Now Anya was confused. And what did "like this" mean? Anya went in a daze, suddenly deep in thought. Her head unknowingly hung down.

Damian went unconsciously alarmed at the little girl's sudden silence. H-Had I taken it too far? Does sh-- Does she hate me now? Damian could not explain it but the mere thought made him extremely uncomfortable.

"I... I take it b-back!" Damian bursts out in panic. His pride becoming the least of his concerns this moment when the thought of Anya maybe hating him was... possible.

Anya is startled by this, raising her head to look at him with curious eyes, tilting her head. "Take what back?"

Damian looks away, a violent surge of pink about to show-- or rather, was already evident on his face. "Th-That... I mean- You-- You're not..." His voice diminishing with every word uttered. But his embarrassment ate him over the last minute, just like every time he was in front of this unpredictable (cute) esper.

"Whatever! I don't care! You're just a low class plebeian. You're stubborn, smug, and ug--" Damian stops at his own words. He tried saying the word he taught was usual to say to her, but something unknowingly stopped him. He didn't know what it was.

He eventually chooses to turn around, walking away. Flushes still visible on his cheeks. Anya only looked at him, scratching her head, perplexed.

I-I'll admit you're not ugly but I still d-dont like you!

Anya hears his thoughts before he walked away. People ought to usually lie when they speak and completely true when they think.

And it was so bizarre how Anya had just met someone who could possibly (or actually) be both. Anya pouts in slight frustration.

Helping in Pa's mission is hard when even reading his mind is a big puzzle.
