Chapter 15: Coffee and Chat / Reunited

       Later, Gail prepared some coffee as she put some coffee grounds on a measuring cup and poured hot water over it. She awaited for three minutes and stirred it before steeping. Four seconds later, The woman put some cream in a cup of coffee as she put a sugar cube on another cup of coffee before bringing them to the living room where Holly is sitting in the couch."There we go."

"Thank you." Holly thanked her as she picked up a spoon and mixed her coffee. "What about your early life, Mrs. Frobisher?"

"I don't know..." Gail was unsure as the rag doll gestured her to go ahead. "In my childhood, I had a rag doll."

"Goodness! Did you named her?"

"It was nameless." Gail continued as she took a sip of her coffee. "It was unnamed. I used it to sleep with the doll as a comfort object."

"Wow. You used to sleep with the rag doll?"

"Yes. I loved it. It was the happiest day of my life."

"And what happened to the rag doll? It was destroyed? Ripped? Cut into pieces?" Holly asked her.

Gail sniffled as she remembered the rainy night in her childhood. "In a rainy night, I was on my way home after playing in the playground. My parents didn't looked for me and I tripped on a stone and I...I..."

"Did you lost the rag doll? By what?"

"I lost my rag doll by accident! I was so helpless because my rag doll is the only...comfort object!" Gail started to sob for her loss of her favorite toy.

Holly sighed as she pulled out a box of tissues. "I know how you feel." She said as she picked up a tissue. "Here, blow your nose."

"Thank you." The woman blew her nose. "You know, my daughter Vivian wanted a doll to give some company for her."

"Yeah, right. But, listen, I can sing songs."

"You sing?"

"Yes! I can sing!"

The next day, the students went to Maynard H. Jackson High school. Lisa has left the bus as she put her hands in her pockets as she proceeded to walk. When she came to the drinking fountain to drink water, she noticed a surprise: Holly. The girl stood still in shock as she saw her friend, who has returned to her cheerfulness. "Holly!"

"Lisa!"

The two girls imagined themselves on an garden full of flowers as they started to walk in slow-motion toward each other. The two girls jumped into the air as they hugged happily, meaning that they are reunited.

"Holly, you're back! Thank goodness you came back to me!" Lisa exclaimed.

"I'm sorry for abandon you, girl! It's my fault for shoving you into the floor!" Holly tearfully laughed.

"Oh, I like to see you crying joyfully, You got tears of joy!"

"Yeah!" The rag doll picked up her ribbon as Lisa gave it to her before placing it back in her hair. "I can't wait to tell Maureen that we're-"

"Together again?" Vivian showed up, seeing the two best friends reunited. "Holly Lawrence Fitzgerald, are you hanging out with that loser?!"

"Loser?!" Lisa was offended as she put her hands in her waist, grumpily. "Listen here! Holly is the girl that I got in my 4th birthday."

"Ha! Are you gonna challenge me, Lisa?"

"Of course, I will, Dotch."

The two girls stared at each other, ready to fight before Kendra showed up to break up the fight."OK, that's enough. I don't want any fight in this school." She chided them as she noticed Holly. "Holly! You're back!"

"Hi, Principal Wyman." The rag doll greeted.

In the classroom, Lisa, Holly, Maureen, Verena, Mallory, Nikki, Bailey and Portia are reunited after weeks of hanging out with Vivian. "I'm glad that you came back for us, Holly." Mallory put her hands in her hips.

"Yeah! If I were you, I would remove my favorite shorts and replace them with new ones!" Verena claimed stupidly as Lisa and Holly giggled. "It's Embarrassing, I guess."

"Yo! Manipulatin' girls is a bad thang, homegirl!" said Portia.

"So, what are you gonna tell?" said Nikki.
