Voltron High

"My baby is leaving for his new school his junior year," Krolia said hugging her son tightly. 

"Mom I'm 17 not a baby anymore. Now let go before I'm late" Keith said. Krolia giggled and let go of her son. "Go be yourself, make friends," she said planting a small kiss on the black-haired boy's forehead. Keith nodded and left his house walking towards the school. 

Voltron High School was the school's name and what else is there to say. It is a big white high school building with a blue tint to it. 

Keith POV

I looked up at the building as I arrived at the school. I moved around a lot switching with my parents since my dad traveled for his job. He said I should spend the last two years of my high school career not being homeschooled. I never had friends really since I was homeschooled. I kept to myself I mean I am a teenager after all. I walked into the school building managing to get around the many students walking around all with someone or in a group of friends. 

People looked at me and whispered as I walked down to my locker number. Staring always made me uncomfortable. I opened my locker reading my combination off my hand which I wrote on it. I put my stuff in my locker and closed it. I jumped a bit as a Taller male with a fade and black hair with white at the front. Next to him stood a Cuban girl with glasses and shoulder-length brown hair. "Sorry, we scared you" The girl spoke. Her voice was soft. "I'm Shiro and this is Veronica we are Senior's you're the new kid right?" the guy spoke. I looked up slightly at them and nodded "Rumors spreading around already?" I asked. "It's a high school but doesn't worry nothing too bad," Veronica said with a small laugh. 

"I know what it's like to be new so Veronica and I thought we should introduce ourselves maybe we can be friends," Shiro said with a soft smile. "I would like someone to know so thanks," I said. "Come find us at lunch you can sit with us," Veronica said with a smile. I nodded as the warning bell went off. 

Time skip to lunch

I looked around the cafeteria full of people all with groups of friends. Eventually, I found a table with Shiro and Veronica with another guy with shoulder-length dirty blonde hair. I walked over and sat down next to Veronica across from the other two. "Hey, newbie you found us," Veronica said with a smile. "You never told us your name" Shiro added. "It's Keith" I responded. "Well welcome to Voltron High Keith," Veronica said smiling. "This is Matt he's a close friend," Shiro said motioning to the other guy. "Hey," Matt said smiling at me. I smiled back. "So I'm going to point out the kinda groups since most the school is in here," Veronica said. Veronica started pointing out giving names to people and groups. Eventually, she pointed over to a table full of people. The person in a green hoodie and circle glasses is Pidge, she is Matt's sister and yes she looks like a guy but she's definitely a girl she's really into robotics and technology " she said. I looked at the girl who sat at the table on her phone focusing on it. "Next to Pidge is Hunk he's basically an overall nice guy he loves cooking," Veronica said. I looked at the guy with a bandana around his black hair a few pieces having over the bandana he was eating and laughing with the group. "Then there is Lotor, I recommend staying away from him," Veronica said. "King of assholes" Shiro added. I laughed a bit looking at the guy with long white straight hair as he was staring at someone. "Then there is Allura, she's the head cheerleader and a Senior so is Lotor but the rest juniors. She is kinda a bitch more controlling than anything, but she's dating my brother" Veronica. I looked at the skinny girl with white hair in a perfect bun as she giggled talking.  I focused my eyes on the guy next to her. He was laughing as something someone said. His smile made my heart stop. He was Cuban and looked similar to Veronica. "That's my brother... Lance, he is dating Allura and is the captain of the baseball team making him the most popular in the group the same as Allura. He's really cocky but don't worry he's not that bad" Veronica said. 

I spent the rest of the lunch listening to the group's conversation and kept finding my eyes looking at Lance. I didn't even know him and I'm falling for him. I can't let Veronica know she's my friends and that's her brother.
