Chapter Nine. Emma and School

*Paitynn's POV*

"I.. uh... Why would you wanna adopt me?!" I asked trying to hide the anger in my voice.

"Because you're my daughter! Why wouldn't I!?" She asked.

"Why didn't you just keep me when I was born!?" I asked.

"Because! I was going through a hard time and I didn't want you to see your mother go through rehab!" She defended herself.

"So you'd rather give me up for adoption then pop into my life 10 years later!" I asked no longer afraid to show my anger now.

'I tried keeping you. But I couldn't!' Demi said.

'My hero. You kept me for three year.' I said standing up.

'I would've kept you but I didn't want you to see me go into rehab.' She said standing up too

'You never tried being nice to me for those three years! You called me a liar all the fucking time!' I yelled holding in my tears

'You really think I meant it!? I was in a dark time! I didn't believe anything nice anyone said about me!'

'Why would you wanna adopt me anyways!? It's not like you'd find time for me! You'd be too busy with your Lovatics!'i said then ran up the steps.

I saw Demi plop down on the couch out of the corner of my eye. I grabbed my phone and earbuds off my bed then locked the door. I plopped on the bed and curled in a ball before going on YouTube and searching "Demi Lovato Full Concert"

I put my earbuds in and started crying hysterically. I went to my bag and started searching desperately for anything that could ease my pain. My earbuds fell out while I searched but I didn't mind to put them back in.

'Who the hells there?!' Kennidee asked. 

'Paitynn. Dylan. Jess. And Chloe.' I yelled.

'Oh.' She said sounding disappointed.

We're gonna go say hi to our sisters. Okay?' I asked and they nodded then went back to their toys.

'Laurynnnn! Emmaaa!' I yelled.

We walked into their rooms and they were playing with dolls,

'Hey, guys.' I said and they stood up and hugged us all.

'Do you know if Brook has any friends over?' I asked.

'She doesn't.' Emma said.

'Let's go say hi!" I said and we ran to her room

'Brook!' I yelled at her door then walked in. It was smokey.

'Without me?! Hmm.' I said and Jess accidentally laughed.

"Go in your guy's room for a minute," I said to Emma and Laurynn and they did so.

'Surprisingly. I actually kind of missed your lame as fuck jokes.' Brook said.

'Surprisingly. I actually kind of missed your lame as fuck comments.' I copied her and she smiled.

She gave me a pack of cigarettes and Chloe took them from me and frowned.

'Buzzkill.' I said and she smiled.

'Are you back?' She asked.

'Nope. Just came by to say hi. Maybe I should disappear for a month more often. You're actually acting nice.' I said and she smiled sarcastically.
