Hello dearest readers of this (hopefully soon awesome) book,
I am Ferial, I was born in Germany, I grew up in Germany and well I am 15, so I basically spend my whole life in Germany. In short this means I am German.
Whatever, right now I am spending a year in Louisiana as an exchange student. In my entire life I heard so often that Americans are interested in nothing, but their own country. But that's not true. I got asked so many questions since I am here, and yes some of them may seem a little stupid at first. But if you think about that it isn't.
I ask you Europeans, can you tell me all the countries in Africa, South America or Asia? I mean, you can argue now that Europe and especially Germany as richest country of the EU is very important for world economy, but seriously, who cares?
We all claim to know everything about America, because we saw it on TV or read about it in magazines. But that's the point, most succesfull movies and celebrities come from the US, not from Europe, so how should an American learn about Europe? (By the way, if you've never been to the US, you don't know the US) In addition to that the United States are about the size of the European Union, you have everything there, so if you don't want to see the Eiffel Tower you dont need to leave the United States to see something new... Nevermind, I forgot the Eiffel Tower in Las Vegas...

You see there is no reason for an American to know a lot about European countries, but that does not mean that they are not interested in it. And that's why I write this book. For you, Americans, Africans, Asians and Europeans, who have questions about Germany. And don't mind asking, there are no stupid questions and I would love to answer!

Love,Ferial L. Mott

A few things ahead: Yes, we have busses, warm water and McDonalds in Germany. No, we have (almost) no air conditioners. AND NOT EVERY GERMAN IS A NAZI (more about that later)
