3rd person pov
Once the sun had rose and morning came, the losers were forced out of bed; downstairs in the dining hall where breakfast was being served.
The night had been silent as everyone was exhausted from the journey; Morning was the complete opposite. Kids were ecstatic, running around and exploring the place as much as they could until their teachers told them off for noise complaints. It was a hectic morning. There was one normally enthusiastic kid who was always running his mouth and getting into trouble however, that morning he was probably the quietest kid there. Richie. Richie Tozier, the loud, humorous one of the group was quiet.
Of course, since he was a loser, no one paid attention to the sudden change, well everyone except his friends. They noticed something was off with Richie and as the good friends they are, took it upon themselves to figure it out.
(lol descriptive writing is not something I'm great at but I needed it to refresh my mind, been a while since I updated this story)
Eddies POV
Ever since Richie woke up this morning he hasn't been himself and I'm really worried. We're all sitting in the cafeteria sort of area in the hotel, eating our breakfast. Normally, this would be a perfect opportunity to crack a joke at something but he doesn't. And that's what makes me worry the most.
After we finish eating our food our teacher starts to make an announcement. "As you all know, you'll all be attending the school here at Hawkins but- " Loud groans were heard and she continued, "But. I have arranged a little day out to the star court mall today." Lots of shouts and cheers were heard, me included. She then says for all of us to go get ready because we're leaving in 1 hour.
When everyone started moving, excited to hurry up and go, I quickly grab Richie's arm to take him to our room before the others came. As I drag him toward the elevator, he doesn't pull away, not even when I start dragging him to our room. I sit him down on the bed, his head looking downwards. "Richie, " I start, trying to be annoyed but worry seeps through my voice, "What's going on? You're not being yourself." he doesn't respond to me, instead he looks up at me, tears forming in his eyes. My eyes go wide and as a reflect I quickly wrap my arms around him.
He quietly cries into my arms as I stroke his fluffy hair. I take his glasses off, grabbing a tissue from my fanny pack and drying his eyes. I give him a moments to calm down before cupping his cheeks, forcing him to look at me. A slightly noticeable blush spread on his face. "Tell me what happened."
I woke up in the middle of the night. I don't know why I did but I could feel someone looking at me. I got worried so I went to wake bill up but he wouldn't budge so, I tried to wake you up instead. I went over to your bed and shook you yet, you wouldn't wake up. I got angry and forced you to turn over but...what I saw wasn't you. It was IT. IT was posing as you and...and jumped at me just like he did I neiblot. I was terrified Eds. After that i woke up. I couldn't get much sleep after that...
I'm filled with shock and sadness after hearing what Richie went through last night, but before I can properly comfort him, the other walk in. I think after telling me about everything, he feels better because as soon as he sees them, he's back as his regular self; eyes still red and puffy after crying.
"H-hey guys. Gl-glad to see y-y-you're doing fine Ric-Richie" Bill says with a smile. "Hi-ya big bill" Richie says as he bounces up onto his feet.

Richies POV
After we all get changed, we head towards the main lobby where everyone is gathered. I knew Eddie has probably forgotten his inhaler so I make sure to grab the spare one I have for him before I leave the room.
