"why are you coming with me again?", i inquired to the person on my left, he immediately let out a soft smile before he replied, "i want to know more on how this soulmate thing works!"

i nodded when he continued talking, "so hyung, we're just following the string that you see?"

"yes, jeongin. changbin hyung is unnamed hence we just need to follow the string", i looked down as i see changbin hyung's string on my palm that is connected to an another person

"what if the person is from overseas?", jeongin suddenly asked which made me wonder too

i slowly nodded, "that's possible too but let's just hope she's from somewhere around this place"

as we are about to turn into a corner, jeongin suddenly grabbed my arm, "hyung, let's have some coffee first before we continue"

i looked at him and at the string, i nodded as i agree with his plan, "alright, i'll buy it for us"

we went inside the coffee shop and jeongin quickly ran to find a place for us to sit, as for me i went near the cashier to have our orders

"oh! seungmin!", i am greeted by the usual barista who works here, i've been in this coffee shop multiple times making him remember me too well

i smiled at him, "i'll have the usual but please make it two"

"ooh", he started teasing, "are you with your soulmate?"

i quickly gave him a bored look, "you know how i can't find my soulmate, right?"

he laughed as he nodded, "alright, we'll give it to you later"

i fished out my wallet and gave him the payment, he smiled at me before i left him to go at where jeongin is

"what coffee did you buy for me, hyung?", jeongin inquired, not even looking up from his phone

"my favorite, i don't know if you will like it"

jeongin looked at me and smiled, "it's alright. as long as it's free then it's delicious!"

i chuckled as i looked around the coffee shop, i noticed how changbin hyung's string is glowing gold, that only means i'm close in finding his soulmate

"she's here somewhere", i suddenly blurted out which made jeongin to look at my direction

"who? changbin hyung's soulmate?"

i nodded as i looked around intensely, our order suddenly arrived and the one who gave it to us is someone of jeongin's age

"here's your order, sir", she smiled sweetly at us, i immediately grabbed her wrist before she could even leave

i could tell she almost freaked out but she remained calm, "yes? do you need anything more?"

jeongin slightly shrugged my shoulder, "hyung, you're scaring her"

"it's you", i mumbled under my breath but i guess she heard it anyways

"me what?", she awkwardly smiled as she tries to remove her hand from my grip, "i'm sorry but i still have to work"

i looked at her string which is glowing in gold instead of red and diverted my gaze to look at her eyes,

"do you want to meet your soulmate?"

i went out of my room and immediately got face to face with jisung on his casual clothes, "where are you going?"

jisung looked at me and pointed at himself, "me? i'm going to find Kim Haein."

"oh you mean your soulmate"

he nodded, "i should go now, bye!", he immediately dashed off as he left me by my room's door

i shook my head, still feeling disappointed on why it would have my soulmate to be Lee Yeongji out of all people

bothered by my thoughts, i arrived at the living room and saw yeongji sitting on the couch, "you're still here?"

she looked at me as she muched to some chips, she nodded as a response

"aren't you going home yet?", i inquired once more as i sit on the couch beside her

"you don't like me here too much?"

i was taken aback by her choice of words but i refrained from showing it, "no, not in that way. i'm just curious why you're still here."

she turned off the television and finally gave her full attention to me, "so, you're concerned about me now?"

i knitted my eyebrows as i immediately laughed, "don't assume too much"

she scoffed as she reached for her phone, she didn't gave any reply and that's my cue to continue talking

"are you bored?"

she nodded while she scrolled on her phone. with her response, i suddenly blurted out something i regret telling her,

"okay, let's have a date!"
