"[Fake/Name] I think we'll have to leave this place as soon as possible. We still can't be sure that he's alive."

"I know, once you're good enough to walk we'll get out of here, in fact, let's leave this country as well, Europe itself isn't safe, let's go to a country that hates the British, where we can start over."

"Where are you thinking." It was moments like these that reminded Annabelle that her former master wasn't an ordinary woman, she was the [Name] [LastName], the woman who shook the world with her voice and lived on her own without the support of a man for years. Annabelle admired her master's independence.

"I'm thinking of the North, if we can get far enough away we might be able to disappear from his grasp, Norway, Sweden or Finland maybe? Any of those countries would work quite well."

"Right, but this time let's take a direct train and boat to get there as fast as possible, it'll be more expensive but it'll also be more beneficial in the long run, we have to take advantage of Mast- I mean Kirkland's injury."

"Right, I'll go and TRY to ask the doctor if you can leave early, I'll carry you." Said _____ as she winked at Annabelle while heading towards the door.

"C-carry...............me?" Annabelle whispered only for herself to hear as her cheek flushed a peach colour.

_______

"Anna! The doctor said that we could leave since your injury isn't that deep!" Said _____.

"He just needs to examine your injury one last time before we leave." Continued the female as she indicated the somewhat fatigued and sweaty doctor to take a look at Annabelle's.

The poor man hoped he never had to deal with another foreigner again, communication was key as they say, I think.

______

The examination was short and before they knew it, the girls were out. It was late afternoon by now and the weather wasn't exactly in their favour.

"L-let's get to the train station q-quickly." Said Annabelle, embarrassed at the fact that he was being carried by another woman. (Remember we're in the Victorian era)

They reached the train station faster than last time as they had already somewhat familiarized themselves with the area. Buying the ticket also went smoothly. It seemed as though Arthur was still unconscious or hopefully, dead.

"Finally!" Sighs the [hair-coloured] female in relief as she takes her seat.

After everything was settled and the train started moving _____ suddenly grabbed Anna's hands.

"When we get there let's start over! I'll make sure to take care of you to reapply all that you've done for me!" Announced _____ loud enough only for her and Annabelle to hear.

"T-thank you but there's no need, I'm just a maid, I was just serving my master!"

"No! You're totally more than just that, you've helped me so much! From now on I'll make sure to have your back!"

The former maid felt her heart flutter, she had decided to work at the Kirkland manor with no hopes or expectations, just thinking of it as serving another noble, not knowing that she would meet the person who would mean the most to her in some time.

...

Arthur Kirkland, the most renowned detective in Europe, hell, even Asia. The man that had killed countless criminals, was right now hospitalised, by his 'wife'. This was like a slap to the face for Arthur.

Not only that but he was in critical condition, doctors had already speculated that even if he managed to live through this he would become crippled for the rest of your life.

...

The journey for Annabelle and her maid went on smoothly. They reached their destination seemingly peacefully. The weather was not favourable but nothing they weren't used to.

No one followed them this time and they were able to get out of the main city quite quickly. It was still early morning when they reached the countryside, now they had to find a town that was far from the capital.
