Chapter 2:

Seth's POV:

"Come on Nathan!, you've got to help me!" I ran my hand over my hair while trying to convince my bestfriend to help me solve my dilemma.

He took a sip of his brandy before giving a response, "Bro, you know that I'll do anything for you" he shook his head "but switching places with you that's a whole different story..."

He snorted before continuing, "..I'd rather swim in a pool full of mayonnaise than pretend to be you."

I sat down on the stool beside the bar and faced him, "It's not like you're gonna do it for a long time, you'll just pretend to be me tomorrow when we visit them then after that it's done."

He placed his glass down on the bar and stared at me with confusion, "Why do you need me to pretend and do that when you can just go there and just be your self?"

"I'm just playing safe, and it's better this way. I'll get the chance to know that woman without her knowing that I'm the true Seth."

Nathan shooked his head, "Bro, do you know how hard it will be to act and pretend to be you?"

"Come on Nate, it's not that hard and perhaps you've known me for years, you won't have a hard time copying me."

"You're Seth Marshall! You are a very unpredictable person which means you do things that are...far from ordinary."

"That just makes me feel like an Alien." I said bluntly.

He sighed at me, "Do you even know what the woman looks like and what her name is?"

"Her name is Clarisse Van Garde and she is the current owner and President of Van Garde Industry."

"And have you seen her?"

I shooked my head and took a sip of my wine, "Not in person but I've seen her on some of the tabloids and magazines."

"She's quite famous then." He raised his eyebrow.

We were silent for a few seconds then Nathan spoke, "So you're really gonna marry her?" He chuckled lightly, "I still can't believe that you, 'The undying Playboy' is about to get married."

I scrunch my face, "Hell if it wasn't because of the Business I wouldn't even do this."

I tightened my grip on my wine glass, "After our wedding I will personally make sure that-that woman will get nothing, not even a single penny."

"That's harsh don't you think?"

I just huffed.

"And what about Gwen?" His voice was serious.

I sighed, "Ugh..I don't know, I mean, everything happened so fast and I haven't told her about this."

Nathan shook his head in clear disappointment. "You should tell her about this as soon as possible before the media does." I nodded my head in agreement.

Gwen. I wonder how she would react when she finds out about this. If it wasn't because of this deal I wouldn't even be troubling myself with this kind of stuff.

I shake my thoughts away and faced Nathan again. "So back to my question, will you help me or not?"

He sighed then pinched the bridge of his nose, "Just this time."

I tapped his shoulder gratefully, "Thanks Man, I owe you one."
