Chapter 5: Beth's Stay At Home Day

Today was going to be great, note the sarcasm.

First of all, My hair feels so greasy. Second of all, my lipstick cut in half. Third of all, I forgot my favorite pair of socks at home! So I decided today would be a stay at home day.

I wore a blue jumper and random pants. I wore my favorite unicorn slippers with nice socks too!

Jacob

-In the studio-

"Guys, what rhymes with teeth?" Jake said, scratching his head. We were currently in the studio rewriting the song that we made because according to Seth, it had crap lyrics. "Um, meat? Wait, no, beat!" Brent said, looking away from his phone. Jake immediately scribbled something down messily.

"How about skinny?"

"Minnie."

"Embrace?"

"Hmm, face."

"Girl?"

"Swirl."

"Jake, who are you writing about?" Keith asked, breaking the chain of rhyming words. "Cecilia." He shrugged. "Dude, you guys aren't even dating yet." I said, playfully punching his arm. "This is the song I'll use to serenade her, duh." He said, still focused on the papers he's holding.

Honestly, I think Jake is becoming weird, more like insane. He's so hung up with Cecilia, its ridiculous.

I got really bored of Jake asking for rhyming words, so I decided to text the one and only, Goat.

To: Becky Goat
How's your stay at home day???

From: Becky Goat
Its pretty good I must say

To: Becky Goat
Soooooo, are you bored??

From: Becky Goat
Yep, that's why I ordered pizza!! Yay

Aww, save me some?

Okay, as long as you like pepperoni

Yea, I love me some pepperoni!

What are you guys doing?? I have nothing to do here

Chilling and re-writing stuff. Wbu? (A/N: if you didn't know, wbu means 'what about you')

As I said, eating pizza. Plus, I'm watching random animal videos on Youtube. Nothing interesting.

To: Becky Goat
Sounds interesting to me! Mind if I join in later?

Not at all! ;)

"Jacob, what are you doing? We need to work on this you know." Brent said, pointing his finger to the papers Jake was holding. I just nodded and texted Beth.

To: Becky Goat
Heyy, I need to go. Bye!!

From: Becky Goat
Byee Glasses Boiii!

I chuckled and put down my phone. "Okay dudes, let's get to work."

Bethany

I put a slice of pizza in the tupperware and put it in the fridge. "When will they come back?" I muttered to myself, looking at the clock. I really felt uncomfortable being alone since that incident, ugh.

Suddenly, I heard a knock on the door. Since I was practically traumatized by strangers in houses, I grabbed the first thing I saw, which was a remote, and walked over the door. I swung it open and I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Mom?" I dropped the remote and covered my mouth with my hand.

"Beth?" She hugged me and I hugged her back.

"I thought you were dead!" It was true, I really thought she was dead.

"I survived, baby." I felt tears brimming my eyes.

-2 years ago-

"Holy mother of God!" I muttered to myself as I read the newspaper.

'Flight H613 Crashed Yesterday Midnight'

I immediately looked at the names of the survivors.

'Jeffery Dustin, Mike Houston, Sally Houston, Penny Hendrickson, John Donerson, Kate Clark, Misty Evans, Michael Evans, Chase Evans, Lottie Samuels, Krissy Jackson, Hollie Everest, Demi Legend, John Blue, Justin Benton, Lady Gefferson, Kris John, Kendall John, Kylie John.'

Mom didn't survive. I bursted into tears.

-end of flashback-

"How did you know I was here?" I said while sitting down on the couch beside mom. "I talked to your dad yesterday, he told me you were here." She sighed, she was obviously tired. I nodded and got up.

"Do you want pizza or something?" I said as I looked at the remains of the empty fridge. She shook her head so I closed the fridge.

Man, this feels so good. Having my mother back just lifts the heavy weight off my shoulders.

"The boys could be back any minute now." I plopped down beside her and played with the sleeves of my jumper. "Good, I really want to meet them." She shrugged, I forgot how cool of a mom she was. I was about to say something, but I was interrupted by someone barging in.

"Sup Beth and..." Brent walked over with a confused look. "Hi, I'm Beth's mom, but you can call me Brennan." She shook his hand, weird.

"Sup Beth and Brennan!" Brent repeated and went straight to his room as well as the others. "I think I should go now, I rented a hotel a few blocks away from here. Take care sweetie." She kissed my forehead and went straight to the door. "Bye mom!" I opened the door for her and smiled.

I went to Jacob's room and closed the door. "So that was your mom?" He looked up from his phone. I nodded. "I haven't seen her in 2 years." I sighed.

"Oh well, I haven't seen my mom since I was 6 so yeah." He added.

I really felt bad for Jacob. He's been cheated on and left by his mom, that's sad. I feel like he really needs someone to love him. Well, someday he'll find someone special. He looks so sad, it makes me sad too.

"Do you miss her?" I sit down beside him and pat his back.

"Hell yeah I do."

Yay for plot progression! So something interesting finally happened, yay. Do you guys want me to do fanfictions? Cause I would love to!

-Chapter Lengths-
So this chapter kinda sucks, sorry it's really short, it will get longer when I have more time to work on it. HIMT will get better too, but don't expect a long chapter tomorrow, it's more of like a filler, to be honest.

-Chinese Tutor-
Oh yea, I'm also starting to write CT and I think its gonna turn out better than I expected. Translations are also gonna be there so you don't have to go to Google Translate anymore, of you were willing to do that. So far, I have written Chapter 1 and I'm sorry because I don't exactly know how American schools work because I'm from the Philippines and our school is very different from Americans. In our school, we don't switch classrooms, the teacher goes to ours and we don't buy our lunch, it's either packed or prepared already.

So basically, the story of CT is that Amity is taking Chinese classes and Liam is forced to go. The thing is, Liam sucks at Chinese (like me) and the teacher can't just kick him out of the class because the mom is like super rich and she's paying the school so much money just for Liam to be in that class. So what the teacher does is she makes Amity tutor Liam, cliché, I know.
