Nelly's POV

The three of us arrived in Portland, on our way to Kai's childhood home. Kai chose one of the cars at the airport before turning to me.

"I call shotgun!"
I yelled jumping into the passenger seat of the car. Kai rolled his eyes and laughed at me.
"Well you won't have much competition."

Kai had drugged Bonnie to stay asleep for the entire flight to reduce the complaints he would undoubtedly receive from the Bennett. Kai layed her into the trunk of the car, locking it shut.

As we were driving, I was looking around, studying the buildings with a smile on my face when I caught Kai staring at me.

"Eyes on the road, Parker"
I said opening the window and letting the wind blow through my hair. He just shook his head, looking back at the road.

"I've never been to Portland"
I broke the silence a while after.
"Nevermind.. I haven't been anywhere outside of Mystic Falls."

"Really?"
Kai asked me, sounding almost excited.

"Yeah, hey, stop the car!"
I yelled at him.

"Why?"

"I wanna grab something to eat, flying makes me hungry"
I said to him, giving him my best puppy eyes.

After dancing through the aisles of the supermarket, I walked back outside seeing the empty black car in front of the doors. I shrugged and layed my back on the roof of the car, munching on my pork rinds.

"Since when do you eat pork rinds?"
Kai appeared, coming from inside the store.
"Since I don't care as long as I get to eat."
I answered sassily, throwing one into the air and catching it with my mouth. Kai was shaking his head smiling when he walked around the car and grabbed my legs.

"Hey! Put me down Kai!"
He was carrying me on his shoulder with my face staring at his back.
"Seriously Parker, I am not kidding! Put me down!"
I yelled hitting his back repeatedly. He placed me back into the front seat of the car and walked around to the drivers seat. I stuck my tongue out at him, putting a bunch of pork rinds into my mouth and passing the bag over to him. He took it gladly and started eating away on the snacks as well.

I woke up when the car came to a stop.

"Are we here?"
I asked Kai rubbing my eyes.

"Yup" he popped the p. "Come on"
he said stepping out of the car. He opened the trunk revealing a very unhappy and confused looking Bonnie.
"Wakey wakey"
Kai pulled her out of the car lifting her to the ground.

"How did I-?"

"Get so lucky to arrive here in a private flight piloted by yours truly? Oh you would've been super impressed by my flying skills but I'd already knocked you out with painkillers."

Bonnie glared at him, who was taking his backpack out of the trunk.

"To be honest, Even I was a little impressed."
I nudged her arm causing her to scoot further away from me.

"Oh come on Bon, what's with the attitude?"
I raised my brow making her stare at me in shock.

"What's with the attitude? I was literally drugged, kidnapped, shoved to a trunk and taken to another country."
She almost yelled at me making me step back and raise my arms up in surrender.

"Okay, whatever floats your boat."
I said simply, jumping up and shutting the trunk, giving Kai a high five.

"Aw look at you two, getting along like the serial killers, you are."
Bonnie said sarcastically causing a scoff from me and a laugh in agreement from Kai.
