I woke up a good while before my alarm clock. I read somewhere that the happier you are the less you sleep you need. That proved to be true in this case.

I turned on my phone, certainly expecting a text back from Changbin. He hadn't answered me since around 4 yesterday evening but i assumed he was busy or taking a nap. There was no doubt in my mind that a text from him would be waiting for me when i woke up.

I didn't even check my lock screen as i swiped instantly to his chat.

A small frown spread on my face as i read the same messages i'd sent hours earlier. He left me on delivered. He just hadn't seen them yet, I assumed. Maybe he will when he wakes up. Either way, i'll see him at school.

I imagined him and I walking closely down the halls together. Just talking in our world. This thought made me blush. On the outside i was unsure of his feelings for me but on the inside i truly felt that he liked me.

How else was i supposed to feel? He kissed me. On his own will, not as a joke.

I began to get ready for school, carefully examining my closet for an outfit to match my mood. My eyes landed on his beanie. I clutched it in my hand, remembering friday night. I wouldn't dare wear it to school. It was way too soon. As of now, it simply served as reminder that that night wasn't a dream.

As i sat down in my seat i finally built up the courage to look at Changbin. I was suprised he hadn't started talking to me yet, but it was Changbin. Everyday was something new.

I glanced over to his desk and we met with seungmin sitting there instead. I felt slight disappointment but i pushed it away since the first bell hadn't even rung yet. There was still time, i rationalized.

When the alarm rang and seungmin returned to his usually seat i forced myself to stay happy. It doesn't matter if he comes to shool or not.

Right when all hope was lost, Changbin came rushing in towards the end of class. He bowed to the teacher and made his way to his seat. I shot him a smile, as if to remind him of our secret, but was met with averted eyes. Maybe he was nervous. He could be in a bad mood. Perhaps he didn't sleep well because of his parents? Either way, i tried to ignore the anxiousness filling in the pit of my stomach as his reaction to seeing me.

I decided i'd talk to him later, when he wasn't as bothered as he seemed now. This plan relaxed me as focused back on my work.

When lunchtime rolled around, i waited around for a bit hoping to catch him alone. My attempt proved successful as i spotted him walking towards the cafeteria, alone.

"hey," i said nonchalantly. As if i hadn't been waiting for him.
Changbin glanced up from his phone. He looked slightly confused. "Oh hey."
I smiled.
"What are you up to?"
Changbin looked like he was about to answer when his phone rang. He barely looked remorseful as he answered it.
"I'll talk to you later." he threw out, already engrossed in whoever was calling.

I turned around, slumping my shoulders as i headed to the cafeteria. By myself. Our chat was barely two minutes. On the bright side, at least he said he'd text me later. I forced a smile.

"There you are!" Chan cheered as i sat down at the table.
"Hey," i forced a laugh.
"Where were you ?" he asked.
I hadn't told him about what happened at the fair.
"I was in the bathroom." i lied.
"Okay, well, what is Jacquelines favorite color? I'm thinking of getting her some cute socks but i just wanted your opinion first..."

Chan didn't seem fazed by my words. I let him ramble about Jacqueline, while only slightly paying attention. The interaction with Changbin left me quite sad. I thought we were friends. Why had he seemed so eager to get away from me? No one was around to see us.

I sighed, eyeing my phone for any new messages. Preferably from Changbin. Maybe he'll text me later and apologize. Though the thought seemed far fetched, it comforted me a little bit as i spent the rest of the day waiting.
