"That's cool. I only operate on envy. I can control the air around me. I can keep people from breathing. Heh, I almost suffocated my brother, Clint, once." I looked at Max, shocked.

Not only did he say that he almost killed his brother, but he also trusts me enough to say that he is similar to me. "Also...Don't lie to me, I know it's not true." He said. Confusion spread across my face, causing him to scowl. "I know that we are similar. People like us are connected. You...you could've told me, you didn't have to lie." He genuinely sounded hurt.

I looked down. "So, tell me the truth this time. What's your powerup?" He asked. I started to sweat and I could feel my anxiousness increase. What if he told? He wouldn't do that, he's the same. He'd also rat himself out. "I'm just rage. I can manipulate fire to my will." I said, finally giving in. "Woah, remind me not to get you mad!" He teased.

He grabbed my hand. "Thanks for opening up to me." He said. I gently pulled my hand away from his. "Uhm...we should head back..." I said, trying to get away from the awkwardness. He looked down, seemingly disappointed. "Yeah." He walked away. I stayed behind for a few more minutes, trying not to make the situation more awkward.

I walked a few steps behind Max, careful not to be in his line of sight. I looked down, the awkward beginning to seize. I continued walking behind him for a few more minutes until he stopped, he turned around and walked the opposite way of our table. I was confused but kept walking, soon I arrived with the snacks.

"Oh, you guys are back!" Lucy said, jumping up from her seat and running over to me. Her blue eyes sparkled with happiness. Her purple hair was different from before, it was braided now. "Ashlie did my hair, do you like it?" She beamed. I nodded slightly. "I can do your hair, too." A voice said from behind me, it was Ashlie.

She softly gathered some of my hair in her hand, braiding the pink strands. "Is your hair naturally pink?" She asked, her brown eyes staring into my pink ones. "Yeah." I said nonchalantly.

"Death!" Said Her Majesty's assistant, who is also a Mega Efficient, Ray. Mega Efficients, also known as Megs or M.E.s, are personal bodyguards who assist Her Majesty. They have been through a lot of training and are very strong. To become a Meg, one must first become an elite. "Today is Friday. Ten people will be competing tonight and, as you know, it will be to the death." He continued. Ray walked over to a large jar, containing names of campers or elites. "Tonight, we have...." He spun his hand around the jar.

He moved it around multiple times, finally pulling his hand out with a paper in his grasp. "Lucy Charson." He called. Lucy let out a panicked squeak, shakily standing and walking to the arena. Ray looked at his clipboard, it contained each person and who the group of people they were against. "And Jayden Luthor." He announced. Jayden stood from his spot in the crowd. He smirked with overconfidence falling from his lips. Ray began to turn on the water, which would slow them down during the battle.

Jayden stood a few steps in front of Lucy, Ray between them. "Rules are as per usual. Fight to the death, use your hands, or the weapons provided. You can only use weapons that correspond with your special emotion. Powerups are only to be used when you are on the verge of death. Once your enemy is about to die, you can use yours, too. No advice from others, except your family members. If any rules are broken, you will be executed." Lucy walked over to the weapons that corresponded with sorrow and happiness.

Jayden walked over to the weapons of envy and fear. Those emotions are common, rage, cruelty, and confidence are not. "Let the battle begin!" Lucy and Jayden ran toward each other. Jayden attempted to tackle her but she dodged it. She took that as an advantage and stabbed him in the shoulder blade. She continued to cut him as he was down, starting to activate his powerup. His blood flooded the water, turning it a crimson color.

Looking at his face, he was afraid of her. He wasn't at all near death, just scared. "Stop!" Ray shouted. He pulled Lucy off of Jayden, getting ready to execute him. "Lucy, you may go back to your spot on the bleachers. Battles have been canceled!" She smiled her sadistic smiled, flipped her purple hair to the side, and skipped back next to me. "That was pretty good," I said. "Which part, the torture or making him fear me?" She asked. "Both," Clint said from behind me, causing her to smile.

I looked back to the arena, seeing Jayden's head separated from his body and more blood filling the water. This sent shivers down my spine, I've never really liked the sight of blood. I looked back at Clint and Lucy. Clint turned his head to the murder scene, his eyes giving a murderous glint. "Clint! Not now, you'll expose yourself." Lucy whisper-shouted to him. He calmed down and looked at her. He began to kiss her, making me gag. I got up, moving towards Ashlie. As soon as I sat down, she twitched a bit.

"Are you alright?" I asked, genuinely worried. She wouldn't answer me, a shocked look spreading across her face. She looked at me, not saying any words. "Uhm, did I do something weird? Sorry, I do weird things a lot. Haha, I've done that so much. I probably do it without noticing." I said, teasing myself. Her shock became fear. My smile faltered into a frown. "Something wrong?" I asked, again. "Y-you're like...m-me." She said, shakily.

"What....what are you talking about." I let out an awkward laugh. She squinted at me. "You're a solo-fuel! You only have one power that can bend to your will-" I covered her mouth. "If someone hears you, we're both going to die." I whisper-shouted.

"Too late." A mysterious voice said from behind me. "We already heard you."
