They entered in a room with six people. Glydelle gazed around the room. In contrast to the other rooms, this room is free from dusts. No cobwebs, clean tied curtains standing tall covering the clear glass windows. Glydelle could even see her reflection on the shiny tiled floor. In this abandoned building, this room looks a real room as it was furnished sparingly with proper housekeeping.
Two armed men in semi formal, one Man in a formal suit but as Glydelle laid her eyes on the remaining three, she was confused. She then felt a stinging pain swallowing her heart in the betrayal she's facing. All the strength she have, faded. Her world suddenly turned upside down seeing them.
She looked at her step mother, yes, she's there. But she's not tied in a chair nor have bruises of kidnapping. She's sitting comfortably on a leather couch, crossed legs, just across the man in a suit sitting on a single couch. Glydelle turned to her sister, Ella, resting her back on the couch beside her mother while crossing an arm. Seemingly releasing an irritated attitude. Glydelle have terribly imagined her in a situation which she couldn't fight for herself, being weak and lose of hope. Cicelle on the other hand are sitting on the bed far from them, eyes down on the floor, both hands on the duvet clenching.
"Here's the nurse!" Ella stated, first to notice them entering. Five eyes flashed towards Glydelle. Cicelle still staring at the floor.
Glydelle bowed down a little to avoid recognition. They seemed see it as paying respect though.
"Come. Treat my daughter's feet. The one on the bed." She shivered at her mother's voice. The pain spreads more through her chest making her unable to breath properly. However, she thanked the small welcome for it prevents getting attention that leads to being caught.
I need to control myself.
Betrayal is the most awful pain anyone could receive. She wished she hadn't known. She wished she's still fighting down there not figuring whose behind all of this. For the first time in her life, she wished to gone. Her life not worthy to be living anymore. She's hopeless.
Forcing herself not shed a tear, she walked towards the bed. The man on her back went to Ella standing behind like a guard on duty.
Martha and the man in suit continued their talk as the two armed men snappily standing beside them.
"As I have told you, I don't want to kill her too!" The man in suit finally talked.
Glydelle was now in front of Cicelle who still eyeing the floor. Glydelle looked at Cicelle's toes on the floor. She could see small colors of blood painted on its feet.
"Shut up Mr. Evans! Why would there be an explosion?! And a lot of gun shots! I almost panicked" Ella exclaimed. "Mom! You said we're just gonna injure her and blackmail her for the code! How could we get the code if we kill her?!"
"Dear, we'll gonna have the code so stop interrupting us. He's not talking to you but to me. Behave yourself." Ella crouched more on her mother's words.
Glydelle kneeled down in front of Cicelle.
"Let me see." She said in a low voice almost a whisper to hide the truth behind her mask.
Cicelle finally bore eyes to her. Studying her.
Please may your mind not recognize this voice, hair and eyes.
Glydelle reached for the toes inspecting it as she raise it slowly. Small cuts and splatters of blood present. The whole of the bottom foot showed tiny shard fragments. As though she ran on a floor full of shattered glasses.
What happened to these feet?
"We're seeking assistance of you to only scare her but you're evidently trying to kill her Mr. Evans. What's your motive?" Martha said to the man called Evans in calm yet intimidating manner.
