The King and I made it out of Grolser Forest thankfully. I informed him that I was needed to go to the market for supplies for my grandmother. I thought he would go on his merry way, but instead he gave me a lift on "Sasha" his horse and stayed with me the entire time.
"So, tell me about yourself Lady Arra." King Peter says. Everyone in the market is staring at us like statues. I feel insanely overwhelmed honestly, but I know practically everyone here.
"Well, there is not much to tell my Lord. I'm just as regular as any other peasant girl that walks these cobblestone floorings." I say simply with a little smile.
"If that is not the most modest thing I have ever heard. There is No way that you are as mundane as you speak. And you are surely no peasant." He says softly. I didn't even notice that we had stopped until Albert cleared his throat, snapping me out of my daze.
"I suppose you will be having the usual Lady Arra?" Albert asks happily. "Yes, of course Mr.Albert please." I respond politely with a smile.
"Hello Arra!" I hear my friend Bridget say just passing by.
"Evening Bridget!" I wave back.
"Good evening Arra dear." Lady Monty says from across the market. "How do you do Lady Monty?" I respond cheerfully.
"Very well, thank you." She smiles at me and then walks away.
I turn to grab my purchased items from Mr.Albert, but find King Peter staring at me. Oh lord, I do hate it when people stare. It makes me so darn nervous.
I smile trying to avoid his eyes. "What?" I ask confused. He shakes his head. "Nothing, you're just so... amazing." I giggle lightly in disbelief.
"I can assure you my Lord I am anything but amazing." I respond tucking a loose remnant of my hair behind my ear.
"Please enough of the formality. We just met and already you've aimed an arrow perfectly at my heart, and saved me from being terribly lost, you have to be the bravest woman I've ever met."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because you are the only maiden I know of whom has astonishing archery skills as you do, who can speak so comfortably with a King, and the fact that you're gorgeous just adds fuel to your fire."
I blush, god my cheeks are on fire. "Thank you my Lord. That means a lot coming from the King of Asmanozia."
(Pronounced Asma-no-za).We giggled a bit and continued to walk. It was exceptionally beautiful today in Asmanozia, I couldn't help but to close my eyes every time the wind danced through the market. I inhaled the scent of Mother Nature, it smelt of pine, and home.
"You and nature must really be one." I hear a voice say, but I keep my eyes closed as I walk. I already know who it is.
"I guess you could say that. She can be a damn good fighter at times, but Mother Nature will Always protect her home." I respond honestly. I stop and slowly open my eyes to find the King watching me yet again, and this time very intensely.
"You have quite the habit of staring my Lord... Penny for your thoughts?" I ask with a slight grin.
"Would you li-" Before King Peter could finish his sentence there was a bone chilling scream coming from across the market.
"EVERYBODY RUN! THEIR COMING!"
"ITS BARREN'S MEN! THEIR ATTACKING!"
"RUN!" Men, women, and children's screams could be heard from every corner of the vast market.
"I have to help them!" I said, I tried to run towards the yelling but King Peter stopped me. "NO!" He says hastily, concern and worry soaked on him baby like face.
"My Lord, I must help my people I-"
"No, it would only risk your life and I will not have that!" He pulls me and starts running towards the end of the market where he left Sasha. We ran and ran, but I could hear the horses of the enemy getting closer and closer in the distance. Oh god their coming right this way.
"Arra watch out!" King Peter yells, I feel a forceful push, then there's an excruciating pain in the back of my head. The king's face appears above me as I find myself on the floor surrounded by different food items.
Everything is hollow in my ears, my vision is blurred to no end, and the pain gets worse by every moment of my stillness.
"Arra! Arra, stay with me! Don't close your eyes!" I listen to the familiar voice in my stinging head! I'm not gonna make it much longer, not like this.
"....Peter.. I-"
Then it was all gone.
