Bakugo's POV

I looked at the green-haired boy that just appeared in my yard and examined his features. He had curly green hair and big emerald eyes. It might've just been from the angle I was at, but he looked pretty short too. Brown freckles were plastered across his nose and cheeks.

After looking away from him I noticed that the entire lawn was mowed, there was a humming bird feeder along with a regular bird feeder in the middle of the yard, and all the weeds were gone.

'How the hell did he get this much done? When did he get here? How long has he been in my yard?' I asked myself all of these questions as i stared out my window, hardly even noticing the water dripping down my face.

Wait, none of those questions are important. I gave the boy a dirty look before pulling my head out of the window and slamming it shut.

Without changing, I went into the living room and saw my grandma sitting on the couch watching the morning news.

"Grandma!" she looked over at me, turning the t.v. down. "Who the hell is this guy and why is he here!?" She smiled innocently, "Oh, Izuku? I hired him to come here and liven up the place."

What she said angered me and geniuenly confused me. Did I just get replaced? "But Grams, you have me to liven up the place and I'll do it for free. I'm your grandson, that's why I came here." She rolled her eyes playfully and stood up, putting her hand on my shoulder, "Oh Katsuki... in order for you to liven up the place, we need someone to liven up you!"

"That's where a puppy comes in place." I mumbled angrily. A puppy sounds way better than this nerd.

Once again she rolled her eyes, "You should go outside and talk to him, make a new friend! Try not to be so mean him like you are to the rest of your friends." "Tch-! They're not my friends...!" She grabbed the back of my tank top, and walked me towards the backdoor, next to where the boy was working, "Yeah, exactly my point." she then threw me out and locked the door.

Not gonna lie, she was pretty strong for a 61-year-old lady. "I'm only wearing a fucking tank top!" I yelled at the door. She opened it, threw a hoodie at me, the shut it and locked it again.

"Do you really talk to your elders like that???" The boy asked with a stunned expression, looking at me as I slipped the navy blue hood on. "Yea so? Why does it fucking matter?" He put his hands up as a way of saying that he didn't mean anything rude, "I-I guess it doesn't...! I was just taught by my father that you shouldn't swear at people who are older or younger than you. But that's just my morals, so you do what you want, I guess."

I looked at him as he continued to dig holes in the ground, planting the flowers in them, "Deku...!" I harshly said towards him, making his head tilt up, "W-what...?" I rolled my eyes and looked at him, "Deku. That's what I'm gonna call you." "Uhh... My name is Izuku Mi-" "Your name is Deku. Deal with it." I cut him off and he sighed, ignoring me for a minute.

"So what's your relationship with Ms.Akiko?" He asked while standing up and walking his flowers to the front of the house. "She's my grandma. I always get a half assed answer from her, so I'm gonna ask you instead...!" With a pause he looked up at me, showing me that I had his attention. "Why the hell are you here?!" The way I spat it out sounded really mean... But I always sound really mean, but this guy doesn't know that... At least I don't think.

Quietly he stared at me for a good minute, looking alittle freaked out, like he was afraid that I was gonna punch him or something. "Ya know what... I'm gonna go inside and ask Ms.Akiko where your bathroom is...!" As he stood up to walk away, I put my foot out stopping him, "Hey. I'm sorry! Don't take it personally, I always sound like this...!" With a sigh, he wiped some sweat off his forehead and started to explain, "I really needed a part-time job, I saw this add in the newspaper, an elderly woman saying that her husband passed away and she needed someone to make her home feel happier. How could I possibly say no?"
