Chapter 9- give us a try?

*3 months later*

After Kian suggesting we forget everything things have gotten better..for the most part. i still have feelings for him but right now, i am not looking for a relationship so i just put those feelings aside when im with him. and when im not, well... hes all i think about. i know it sounds lame and cliche but I dont know another way to put it.

Kian and i have become closer which is good and bad in their own seperate ways. He's my best friend well besides Allison. The only difference between them is i dont have feelings for allison, i dont get nervous around her like i do kian and, i dont think about her and only her when im not with her. But it always seems that way with Kian.

Its time again to put all of those bottled up feelings aside as finish up getting ready to go hang out with Kian. 

I slip on my dark, denim shorts over my hot pink bikini bottoms along with my lime green tank top with 'fearless' written in black across the front over my matching bikini top. I put on my black converse and look in the mirror one last tme to make sure I look presentable. 

I know what you might be thinking woww nice job on the outfit i know right? okay just kidding im  just really not trying to impress anyone. I dont need to.

I leave the room grabbing my keys, phone and wallet on the way out. i pass by nathan and Allison who are cuddling on the couch as i head for the front door.

"Where ya goin?" Allison asks "To lunch." I tell her then walk out the door. Im not going to tell her that im going to hang out with Kian because shes already been suspicious about me liking him but she doesnt know for sure and i plan to keep it that way.

i hop in the car and text kian letting him know im about to be there in 20 minutes.

i get to kians house and before I even get to knock on the door it is opened as Jc walks out almost running into me. "Oh, hey Braden." He say giving me a smile.

"Hi." I awkwardly say back. "Kians waiting for you inside. hes been watching out the window for you since you texted him earlier." He says smirking. (Like all guys do) "Uhm okay well...see ya later." I say with a light laugh as he walks away. I peek my head inside. "Kiiiiiaaaan." I ask. He walks down the hallway with a huge grin. He pulls me to him wrapping his arms around me for a few seconds before releasing me. i close the door behind me and follow him to the living room.

"I ordered pizza not long after you texted me so it should be here soon." As soon as he says that there is a knock at the door. "Aaand thats probably it. ill be right back." He tells me as he jogs towards the door. I sit quietly on the couch waiting for him. i hear foot steps a few seconds later. i look up to see ricky. "Hey Ricky!" i say with a smile. 

Ricky is a pretty cool dude and when i first met him i thought he seemed like a really sweet guy and he actually is. we've hung out a couple times with and without Kian. Hes like that one guy that would make the perfect best friend. "Hey Braden." He walks over to me giving me a side hug. "You hanging out with Kian today?" 

"Yeah." I answer with a nod. "Cool, well im going to the gym. I'll see you later." he replies.

He then leaves passing kian who is walking towards me with a delicious smelling pizza.

He sets the box on the table then sits next to me. "I guess now its just me and you." he says with a grin.

"Are you cold?" I hear kian ask. I look up at him confused. "What do you mean?" i ask scrunching up my eyebrows. "Your shaking." He says looking down at me. I look down at my arms and up to my hands to find that i am in fact shaking. "Oh, yeah. i dont know why but i do that sometimes and i dont know how to stop it." I explain. "Well its very distracting." he says with a smirk. I glare at him playfully before getting u p and grabbing my phone. "I should go, its getting late." I tell him. He stands and follows me out the front door and walks me all the way to my car. He gives me a hug thats slightly longer than the others before releasing me.
