I shut the door, locking it as I toss ny wallet and cell phone on the couch. I let out a sigh as I walk down the hallway to Allison's room. I knock, even though the door is open, just to let her know I'm here.

"Oh hey!" She greets me as she continues folding our laundry, sorting them into two baskets according to who they belong to, a pink one for her and a black one for me.

"Hey." I answer no specified tone as I take a seat in her spinny chair at her hot pink with dark blue polka dots desk.

"Where were you this morning? I went in there to borrow some shoes and you weren't there." She says, folding a black lace tank top of mine and placing it in my basket. "I was with Kian. " I answer plainly spinning from side to side as I say this.

"Really?" She asks looking up from the laundry momentarily before continuing both speaking and folding clothes. "What happened?"

"Nothing. It was weird first he says he can't be just friends with me then he says he can or at least he'll try." I reply thinking back to our conversation. "I really wish he'd make up his mind." I say speaking my thoughts out loud.

"Well, that obviously means he cares about you, Braden. But... Remind me again why you just won't go out with him?" When she finishes speaking I here Sirens by Cher Lloyd playing behind me. I turn around picking up Allison's phone to see who's calling. "Who is it?" She asks right before I was about to tell her. "Nathan, here." I say out stretching my arm to her so she can reach her phone. I'm glad he called gives me a chance to escape the current conversation.

"Just let it ring." She tells me tossing a bra into her basket. "Why? Did you to get into a fight?" I ask curiously tossing the phone back on her desk

As the song fades away. "No." She says quickly folding a pair of shorts I use to sleep in. "Then why don't you want to talk to him?" I question. She looks up at me still holding my shorts she drops both hands to her lap. "Answer my question and I'll answer yours." She demands.

"Nooo." I groan. "I don't wanna tell you." I say determined to keep the true reason to myself.

"Braden."

"Allison." I say back just to piss her off.

"Tellllllll meeeee???" She whines. I let out a small sigh dropping my head into my hands. "I'm....scared." I mumble. "Huh?" She asks clearly not hearing my quiet muffled response.

"I'm scared." I say a little louder. After getting nothing in return for a little while I courageously look up in Allison's direction. I find her mouth dropped open slightly as she stares at me apparently in shock.

"What!?" I ask a little louder than intended. "I cannot believe what I just heard. Braden Leslie of all things your scared of being Kian Lawley's girlfriend?" She says amusement in her voice. I know why, im usually not scared of anything I wasn't always that way of course but my childhood turned me into a robot. I didn't feel sadness, regret, I barely ever smiled, I didn't cry and I definitely didn't have fears.

"No. I'm not scared of being Kian's girlfriend. I'm scared of being anyone's girlfriend. Its just not my thing." I say grabbing some clothes from the floor that fell from the huge pile on Allison's bed and begin to fold them.

"Why!? You weren't scared when you were with Jackson." She reminds me. "Oh come on Allison, that wasn't really a relationship I mean after the first year it wasn't. We called it that though, but it wasn't really. We didn't really talk much and when we were together-which was almost never- it was more of a friends with benefits type if thing." I tell her. Yes Jackson and I have had sex, dont judge. We were together for three years and..yeah it was bound to happen.
