3 Lives 3 worlds: Bai Zhen and Zhe Yan

Chapter 9: From here on till forever... Part 2

It's been four days and Bai Zhen is still not responding to the messages sent by the other. Zhe Yan was lying on top of a tree bark looking at the stars and the moon while drinking wine from a bottle.

He was planning to go see Bai Zhen tomorrow, he of course had not informed the other lest Bai Zhen ran away to avoid him. While lying on top of this peach tree he thought of his mother who always gave him tips of how to coax his partner. At the time he hadn't listened attentively as he thought he wasn't going to marry and all those things wouldn't apply to him, besides he felt at the time there was no point in knowing all these useless things.

At the time he also thought if having a relationship was this troublesome then he wouldn't have one, although he didn't voice this out loud to his mother lest he get punished to do his sword practice the whole day and night without any rest amongst other forms of punishment.

He had learned earlier on to keep his mouth shut when it came to these things, thus, he had kept his thoughts to himself whenever his mother spoke of marriage and how to appease his wife. All these methods were to appease a phoenix partner, but he married a fox.

"How right you were mother, your son in law might not be a phoenix but he is almost as temperamental as one, so I must thank you for all your teachings, but I'm very happy when I coax him, once I find him he is easily coaxed", smiling to himself, "That's probably why he runs away a lot when he is in a huff because once I find him he forgives and forgets so quickly...how cute. Mother your son is going to sleep here tonight, and I will bring back your son in law tomorrow." With these words Zhe Yan closed his eyes and slept and stopped talking to the night sky.

When Zhe Yan arrived, he was welcomed by the general who came to look for Bai Zhen. Walking towards the house with the general he could hear moans and groans coming from inside the hall.

When he walked into the hall he saw two people were laying on their back on the floor looking all bruised and battered. Zhe Yan turned to look at the general beside him with a questioning gaze. The general feeling embarrassed explained what happened.

It was as Zhe Yan had predicted, Bai Zhen beat people up and punished them not to receive medical treatment for two weeks, and during these two weeks the people the two generals had beaten up had the right to challenge them to a fight which they could not refuse.

Of course, people who had suffered losses due to these two fools had issued numerous challenges and were making full use of this opportunity to vent their anger, it was no wonder these people were moaning and groaning, they were probably in a lot of pain.

Zhe Yan made his way around the two and following the general's instructions he quickly found Bai Zhen who was sitting under the shade of a giant tree reading a book.

Seeing Zhe Yan, Bai Zhen quickly hid the book he was reading. Zhen Yan pretended not to have seen his actions and sat down next to him. He took out the wine bottle and glasses and poured the wine for both of them. He took the glass and offered it to Bai Zhen, smelling the fragrance coming from the wine Bai Zhen couldn't resist, he took the glass and drank the wine.

The wine tasted delicious and he had missed it. Seeing his queue Zhe Yan hurriedly admitted his mistake, "Last time it was my fault, I shouldn't have laughed at the situation it was inappropriate." He took Bai Zhen's hand and kissed the back of the hand; Bai Zhen was so surprised he immediately pulled his hand back and looked at Zhe Yan.
Zhe Yan laughed at the startled look and took back Bai Zhen's hand again. He decided to increase the dosage, "I missed you these past few days, don't be mad anymore okay?"

Bai Zhen couldn't resist such a Zhe Yan and he caved, "Actually I wasn't mad at you, I was mad at the interruption. We had just gone through an important moment in our relationship and I was still enjoying the sweet moment when he showed up to ruin it. Thinking about it now makes me mad I should go back in and beat them up again!"
