After strolling around the city, I thought that was the last time

After strolling around the city, I thought that was the last time. But, my Father continued letting me out of the castle, if only I had guards following me.

I have no problem with that. As long as I get to go visit the city.

I enjoyed the city. It was indeed a lot more different inside the castle.

But, I have to admit to myself.

I enjoyed seeing that girl selling flowers more.

I can't come close to her because of this power I possess. And my guards would definitely tell the king that I approached a girl from the city, I didn't want to risk her safety.

I thought that I'm already content just looking at her from afar.

Seeing her laugh and smile was enough for me.

But I knew it wasn't.

I wanted to be close to her.

And so, I did something I never did all my life.

One day, in the morning, I sneaked out of the castle without any guards by my side. I stole a simple outfit from one of the people at the castle.

I also decided to wear a mask when I go to the city.

A mask that would hide my face and my true identity.

I continued watching her from afar. Finding my guts to approach her, I ended watching her smile to other people as she sold her flowers.

I didn't even notice that I was already smiling to myself as I watched her smile.

It's early but she is already selling flowers.

Later on, I saw her buy breakfast then she walked away and even though I knew I was being creepy, I followed her.

I hid behind the tree when she stopped. She sat down on one of the swings and she quietly ate her breakfast.

I quickly hid myself behind the tree when she looked my way.

That was a close one.

"You know that I can see your shadow."

Or not.

My eyes widened with what she said and as I glanced at my side, I saw my shadow.

Damn, busted.

I got out of hiding behind the tree and I saw her looking at me.

She was smiling and that somehow removed the nervous feeling in my heart thinking she would've run away because of getting creeped out by me.

She gestured his head on the other swing, probably asking me to sit down.

I quickly followed and sat down on the other swing as she continued eating her light breakfast.
