I continued following her like the creepy stalker I am when I noticed that she stopped by a place where there's a river.
I tilted my head on the side and slightly raised my eyebrows when I saw her sitting on the grass beside the river. She placed on her side the bag where her money is, beside her basket that is full of flowers.
I got my mask and wore it. A mask that would hide my true intentions and dirty soul.
I always wear my mask when I rob someone in the not-the-sneaky-way so my face wouldn't be on any of the posters immediately. It's my first day here in this city so I still have a lot to do.
Let's get this over with.
I just have to steal her bag where she puts all her money, then run. I'm pretty sure I can escape her since she has small legs and I have been running since I was a kid to those who I steal from so this won't be any different from those.
I was quietly walking my way towards her. But then, I stopped in my tracks when she turned her head on me. She looked surprised when she saw me.
I mean, who the hell won't be surprised when you see a random stranger wearing a mask coming towards you.
She's got good senses, I can give her that. I didn't make any sound and I think I have already concealed my presence but she noticed me, or maybe she just turned around unconsciously.
I should just get the bag that has her money then run. I was about to do my plan when she suddenly smiled at me.
And just like that, my plan easily evaporated like water and the only thing left on my mind is her smile that I got to see closer.
"Hey! What are you doing here?" she asked me, still smiling at me.
I unconsciously blinked a couple of times. What was I supposed to do again?
"Come! Join me!" She tapped the space beside her as she took a bite on what she was eating.
I don't know why but I followed like a puppy.
"Did you already eat?" she asked me when she saw me looking at her while she's eating.
I was about to fake a 'yes' but my stomach betrayed me because it growled out of hunger. I made a face because of that and she immediately chuckled when she heard it.
"Looks like you are," she answered her own question. "Here!"
I got shocked when she gave me a few of her meals.
She smiled when she saw my reaction. "You can have it. I'm already full." Then she rubbed her hands on her stomach and I can't help but smile with that.
I didn't know why but I felt these things inside my stomach and that is definitely not because of hunger. I think it's something else.
