The 'love letters' from Cole continued every morning just right before Lexi comes out of her room. Still puzzled at how he sneaks into slipping it under her bedroom door, she promised to find it out one of these days.

                    Hi Lexi!

Hope you slept well.  Any plans for today?

Anyways, see you in a bit!

                                                                         Your Handsome neighbor,

                                                                         Cole

"Well! What interesting things can we actually try doing  today?" she said aloud.

She still can't get over the fact that Cole has grown to be a very handsome fine man. She smiled at the thought of how he looked so cute while mumbling that she was 'heaven sent'. Lexi pretended not to hear but they were almost brushing elbows so it was impossible not to.

Lexi beat herself in her head. She might just be imagining things. How can she think maliciously of her childhood friend. For all she knows, he was only breaking the ice and was just being funny so she'll feel at ease with him.

Nonetheless, she still fixed herself extra well today. If it was to impress everyone especially Cole, she didn't care. Being self-conscious is one of the last things in her mind right now. She only has a short life to live to mind those petty things. She'll go out, have fun and be brave. She won't let her cancer pull her down.

Lexi was about to go out when she hear a soft knock on her door. It was her parents who looked quite surprised upon seeing her. It was a good kind of surprise. Their daughter was glowing in her plain white shirt and black walking shorts. She adorned her neck with a simple native choker necklace and had her hair in a messy bun which happens to be her fave do. She let some tendrils down the sides of her face. You might picture it out as simple but what actually completed her look was her simply made up face.

She was actually good in doing her own makeup. Always tastefully done and never whore-ish.

"Why, Lexi Marie Towers! What do we have here!" Mr. Towers lovingly mocked her daughter.

"You look beautiful sweetie! Keep the glow!" her mom approved of her look.

"Thank you guys! I hope your not saying it out of parental obligations." she stated while letting out a laugh.

Jasmine was already busy fixing the table when they came in. To Lexi's disbelief, she saw Cole on the table for the first time! Cole on the other hand felt like he saw the heavens open. The world seemed to spin slower that usual.

Maddie looked at her brother ridiculously as if implying something; then she shifted her gaze to Lexi who was also looking back at Cole.

"Uhurm! Let's cut this staring game short for now and have breakfast. By the way, Jasmine planned the day ahead at the beach. Maddie's friends will be coming over so later in the afternoon, we can enjoy the some cool activities. We've rented a jetski, speed boat and parachutes for those who would like to try parasailing. There's banana boat and some snorkeling stuff too. I've hired the services of the nearby aqua center personnel so we can ensure safety while having fun." Anton excitedly announced.

"Wow Anton! This is too grand for a vacation. You're really such a generous host eversince!" Evelyn mentioned in between chews. They were feasting on french toasts, spam, eggs, some cheddar and mixed fruit cups. "And Jasmine, what a spread!"

"Thank you Evelyn. You know the saying about men and their stomachs!" she kidded as she sipped her freshly-brewed coffee.

After breakfast, the oldies decided to rest for a while. Jasmine accompanied Maddie to her friends' house to pick them up one by one. And there's five of them!

Jasmine sees these moments as an opportunity to get closer to Maddie at least. The poor kid lost her mom at such  a young age and she vowed to fill in the motherly gaps for her whatever it takes.

When afternoon came, Maddie and the girls filled the entire island with rowdy laughter. Anticipating the tiring day ahead, Jasmine asked for the girls to bring their overnight bag along. The villa has bunk rooms available for occasions such as today.

Lexi and Cole on the other hand chose to explore the beach and took the opportunity to get to know each other more and perhaps catch up on the lost times. Once they got bored, they agreed on some parasailing.

Evelyn and Mike has mixed emotions while watching their daughter enjoy parasailing and banana boating with Cole. "See those two enjoying just like the old times!" Lexi's father remarked with a hint of frustration.

"I'm really sorry to hear about what you're going through but if there's anything you need, any help or what not, don't hesitate to ask. Anything for my godchild." Anton finishes off his beer and crushed the can right after.
