The new light flooded into the apartment. This was the complete opposite of yesterday. The morning sun stretched into the bedroom, reaching every corner visible from the window. Birds sang from the trees as the dewy grass reflected sparkles in every direction.
Ava's eyes peacefully met the light, and she caught herself staring. She could see the crisp blue sky from her spot in bed, and she longed to feel the breezes that she could see in the trees. She breathed.
Swiftly pulling herself from under the covers, Ava made her way to the bathroom to start her day. Sara was still asleep, but she should be awake any time soon.
Ava was almost blinded by the amount of light reflecting of the shiny tile floor that rushed in from the big window. She gleamed out at the big blue sky, and when she started the shower water, her mind was completely relaxed.
Something is different about today. She thought. I haven't felt this... euphoric rush-... in such a long time. Maybe it was just her really, really good... time... with Sara last night.
The pounding rush of water beat against the back of the agent's ears as she stepped under the running hot water, and she began her routine in preparation for the day ahead.
The last of the body soap raced down the drain just when an extra pair of hands found their way to Ava's front, the owner not visible, but easily deciphered.
A set of hips pressed into her backside as the hands worked to pull a chest flush with her back, and a small smirk escaped someone's lips.
"Good morning, baby." Sara spoke lowly with a slight scratch in her voice that sent a single shock down the taller blonde's spine.
"Hi, Sara." Ava tilted her head over to the side to catch a long kiss from the captain. "Assuming you slept well?" The director hummed as she reached for the nearby wall, still faced with roaming hands and hot kisses across her shoulder blade.
"Assuming I slept well?" She scoffed and smirked, returning her lips to Ava's back. "Assuming you slept well, is what's going on. I mean... you got lucky... like four times lucky. In the dark lucky. Assuming you slept well should be the topic of this soon-to-be-non-exististent conversation." She spoke with a slight raise in her voice and Ava replied with a chuckle.
"I did." She paused. "And thank you." The taller blonde turned around to face Sara, allowing herself to be pushed to the cold wall, ridden over with a rising heat through her body.
"For the sex? I'm always happy to, you know that." The captain raised a question, but still stared hungrily at the director.
"Well, yeah," She rolled her eyes. "But for the whole- dark- thing... you know." She looked away from Sara, who immediately glanced at her feet. She was honestly a little hurt that Ava was keeping something from her, but knew that it wasn't her space to judge.
"Yeah. You just- talk with me whenever you're ready. Ok?" She breathed, letting her now soaked hair rest on the other's shoulder.
"Hey." Ava tilted Sara's chin back up, allowing their eyes to meet again. "Last night, just... reminded me of an old feeling that I need a day or two to adjust to. It's nothing big, I promise." The director swallowed silently, choosing to not acknowledge the size of the lie she just told. Sure, she had pushed her feelings to the back burner, but issues never fade away. They normally grow in size, which is the greatest truth in the director's mind.
"Ok. I trust you." Sara smiled with a sparkle in her eye. Sara trusted her. She had full faith in her. She didn't worry for a second that something was off. She was genuinely happy to believe that everything was ok. Sara just returned her lips to Ava's, quickly finding her way down the rest of the taller blonde's body.
Ava, though, could only focus on keeping a tear from falling down her face.
God, what am I doing to her... what am I doing to me?
Author's Note
I apologize for my chapter's being so short! I would write bigger ones, but every time I do that, I seem to loose interest and get carried away. I know a lot of y'all have been pining for me to update this... so you're welcome :)
I have so many different things that i'm working on right now, and I hate empty promises, but for right now, this fan fic has my full attention when it comes to writing. Also one of my fav authors found this and liked it so like... that kinda encouraged my to conjure up a few more chapters.
If I have the chapter ready, I plan to post once a week.
ALSO BIGGEST THING.
If you have supported in any way the fan fic "A Special Kind Of Real Fake Love" by SoniCami173 (i think that's it) PLEASE DO NOT.
