Flo hummed in thought as she pondered what Cedric was asking her, the pair walking down the corridor towards the dining hall for lunch.

"Why don't you just talk to her?" Flo asked bluntly, giving Cedric a quick glance to gage his reaction. The boy opened and closed his mouth repeatedly, trying to gather his thoughts quickly before replying.

"Well yeah. But what if she doesn't want to talk to me cause I'm older?" He said nervously, quickly bypassing a group of First Years that almost blocked their path. For the first time in his life he seemed to really want this thing between him and Cho to happen, desperate to get all the help he could get.

"Cedric." Flo sighed as he held onto his shoulder to stop their steps as they stood in the doorway of the great hall. "When I was in Third Year Ron asked me out because he was lonely. I don't think Cho will not like you because you're older, I mean you're definitely a catch!"

A wide grin grew on Cedric's face from what Flo had said. A new found confidence had grown within the boy as he let out a deep exhale.

"Alright!" He said calmly as he adjusted his sweater, smiling brightly at the ginger before him. "Wish me luck". He pulled Flo into a quick, tight hug holding onto her shoulders as they let go, and gave her a quick wink before he walked over to the Ravenclaw table to talk to Cho. A wide grin grew on Flo's face from the joy of not only gaining a new friend but from feeling the second hand excitement of Cedric and his not so little crush.

Flo turned and began walking over to the Gryffindor table but was met with the eyes of her friends and the twins, already staring intently. Flo looked into the eyes of Hermione who had an eyebrow raised in a questioning manor, Flo only smiling in response. Once she arrived she plopped down next to Hermione and unfortunately Fred, everyone still staring, not uttering a single word.

"What?" Flo said sharply to the group as they all quickly went back to eating their lunches. Hermione turned to the girl and let out a lighthearted scoff, which caused Flo to stop gathering food for lunch and to look her friend in the eyes.

"Since when did you hang out with Cedric!?" Hermione asked with a giggle clearly not understanding the reasons why the unlikely friendship was happening altogether. And Flo knew that was the case, because no one would have expected the friendship to happen at all.

"Well we sat together in class" Flo said quietly, not liking the obvious eves dropping from her friends. "And he wanted my help with something so I helped him"

Hermione hummed in response with a smile, satisfied with what she was hearing but gave her a look as if to say 'we will talk about this later' to Flo. However from the other side Flo heard a fairly audible scoff come from the loud twin beside her. Looking at him quickly she was met with a frowning Fred who was picking at his food like a baby who had just been scolded. Just before she could tell the boy to "grow up and stop playing with his food" she was cut off rather sharply by a squeaky voice that belonged to no other than Draco Malfoy.
