Saying that Hogwarts was very enthusiastic about the holiday season was an understatement. The school went all out with decorations, themes and food— Halloween this year being no different. The great hall had a full buffet breakfast as per usual, the only difference today being that it was the final day for the Tri-Wizard entries to be submitted into the Goblet.
Florence had one of the most peaceful nights sleep that she'd had in a long time, and the girl was excited to finally go back to normal around her friends— why hadn't she just apologised to Fred earlier?
Her hair was it's usual curly self and her sweater was ironed and neat. Just back to normal.
She quietly walked toward the Great Hall for breakfast, slightly nervous. She couldn't wait to get an absolute earful from Hermione for taking so long and for ignoring her, but truth be told she did kinda deserve it. Flo had almost a pep in her step as she waltzed to the Great Hall, giving a sneaky smile to a knowing Cho Chang as she passed the girl in the corridor.
The Gryffindor table was somewhat empty with only the golden trio seated in their usual spots in the middle. Flo took a seat next to Hermione and slightly to the left of Ron and Harry who were seated on the opposite side, the trio all adorned with confused expressions. The girl gave them a wide grin before putting some food on her plate, and getting ready to tuck in. But she was stopped by a flabbergasted Hermione.
"Am I dreaming, or are you back to normal?" The girl scoffed, pushing her frizzy hair out of her eyes as she turned to look at Flo.
Flo took a bite of her buttered bread as she stared at the girl, beginning to speak with her mouth full. "Uh, s'pose I am?"
Both Harry and Ron looked at each other confused as of why Flo would just be carrying on like normal before a lightbulb went off in their heads. Just as they were about to ask what happened last night, a certain pair of twins made their appearance.
"G'mornin Ron, g'mornin Harry, g'mornin Hermione" Fred and George mused simultaneously as they took a seat at the table, sitting down directly across from Flo.
It was clear to see the tension and worry in the air, all of which surrounding the golden trio. They watched with bated breaths as Flo and Fred stared at each other, none of them really wanting to deal with another argument this early in the morning. But to their surprise, there was none of that.
"G'mornin sunshine"
Fred grinned cheekily at Flo as he said those words, he was really testing the boundaries of their new friendship, but that of course was nothing new. George let out a small laugh at the statement, chewing on a bread roll as he grinned at a rather unreadable Flo.
The girl had to bite her tongue at what Fred had said. She so desperately wanted to bite back and say something sarcastic to the boy but she held off. After all they were going to be civil. Swallowing her pride, she clasped her hands together and placed them on the table in front of her before smiling— sarcastically mind you, at Fred.
