Part 9

(Y/N)'s POV

I took a deep breath and was about to press dial.

"Hi" I suddenly heard and my head whipped up to meet a pair of deep brown eyes.

"Uh hi" I said confused by who this very tall curly haired guy was.

"I must admit I have been watching you for a bit now and I just wanted to tell you that you have a very beautiful smile". I blushed slightly " you probably hear that a lot but yeah" he chuckled.

"Not anymore" I mumbled.

"Oh I'm sorry did I bring up some bad memories? I'm so sorry about that" he said concerned.

"No it's fine" I tried to smile "I just got out of a relationship so things are a little confusing for me"

"I feel you, I just got out of a relationship too, anything you want to vent about to a total stranger?" he laughed. I couldn't help but smile to myself. He was kinda cute.

"Actually in a way I think that would help me" I chuckled.

"Oh really? Okay, lets find a more quiet setting then shall we?". I nodded and we wnet upstairs to find a room.

"So what made you guys break up?" he asked as we were sat on a bed in a random room.

"Me" I sighed "I kinda, sorta cheated on him with one of his best friends who's also his band mate". He looked surprised.

"Oh wow I did not expect that" he scoffed with a little smile.

"Yeah" I sighed "and I have done everything I can to show him that I truly regret it, cause I really do. I can't even explain why I did it, it's so unlike me, it's the biggest mistake of my life".

"But beating yourself up about it this way isn't helping anyone. As you said you've done everything to show him how sorry you are – then you can't do much else. The ball's in his court and if he wants to get back with you he'll let you know, otherwise that's just his loss" he shrugged

"I really needed to hear that" I smiled at him "thank you"

"Hey what else are random strangers you meet at a party for?" he shrugged and I couldn't help but laugh.

"You seem like a great girl, and if your ex can't see that through your mistake, then he doesn't deserve you" he said and I blushed again.

"But you don't know that, you don't even know my name" I shrugged.

"Well what is it?" he asked.

"(Y/N)"

"That's a beautiful name. I'm Nick"

"Nice to meet you Nick" I smiled at him.
