When Tori sneakily spies him get into a red truck-one he most likely rented from the airport-and he drives away she slams the menu down.
"Are you mad that he approached us, that he's here in LA, or that he's getting remarried?" Lindsey questions as the waitress comes back with their drinks.
"Can I get your order?" She asks pulling out her little notepad.
"Um, yeah. We're all on one bill this afternoon, and we'll start with Onion Rings and Mozzarella Sticks as an appetizer.." Lindsey starts.
"Ranch or Marinara?" She questions.
"Ranch." Stevie and Tori say at the same time and Lindsey just looks up at her and the waitress stars giggling.
"And then I'll have a big boy burger and some french fries." Lindsey smiles causing Stevie to wrinkle her nose.
"You don't like his choice of burger?" Tori turns to her mother.
"Baby girl, before you were born I worked here. Literally in this physical restaurant. I know how they make the big boy burger and I know how greasy it is. Anyway, I'll have the slim jim." Stevie smiles.
"Alright, and it's always a pleasure to have former employees come back." The waitress writes it down.
"Um, I'll have the Ultimate Chicken Sandwich but can I sub the honey mustard for ranch?" She asks.
"Absolutely. I'll have the onion rings and the Mozzarella sticks right out for you." She smiles walking away.
"Anway, he lied. I found Fleetwood Mac first, then I found Stevie's work. But, yes, I'm mad he's in LA. Yes, I'm mad he approached the table because it's just common courtesy that when you see a celebrity you don't approach their table. I watched an interview that Don Henley did where he said that he hated when fans come up to him and that it's a nuisance so I just don't. That's why I didn't acknowledge you, Stevie, when you came to my apartment the first time. But we've been divorced for about two years. I don't think someone can change their lifestyle around in two years. He drinks so much and when he's drunk he's a monster and I feel bad that the poor girl is going to have to go through with that." Tori sighs sipping her iced tea.
"Baby you can't do anything about it and at least you got away from it all. A lot of women can't get away from it." Stevie explains pulling her into a side hug of sorts.
"But why the fuck is he here?" Tori starts to visibly shake.
"I don't know kid. I really don't." Lindsey reaches over and grabs Tori's hand.
"Do you want to stay with me for a week or two?" Stevie asks grabbing the ponytail and giving it a light yank.
"No, I can't let him disrupt my life like that. As far as I know, he's not here to see me anyway. I can't let fear run my life." Tori shakes her head.
"If you're sure." Stevie sighs

The next day as Tori was getting off of work, she stopped in the McDonalds drive-thru call her childish but she was craving their french fries so she ordered a thing of nuggets and a large Fry and coke. She parked her car in her spot and exited her car. As she was walking up to her apartment she untangled the fringy part of her black crocheted vest. It was paired with an off the shoulder bell sleeve top tucked into her black skinny jeans with her hair in a low promlike bun with some of her baby hairs framing her face. With her bag of food and drink in one hand, she digs in her unbuttoned black pea coat for her keycard.
As she was walking down the hall she saw Chad standing by her front door.
"What the Fuck are you doing here? And how the fuck did you get in?" She asks.
