~1993~

Uncomfortable, she was really uncomfortable. And she had been for about two days. Lindsey was with her, thank god, because he was able to actually get her to sleep by rubbing her back. The only reason he was there was that he had put his foot down with Cheri. The doctor told Stevie that she could birth anywhere from 36 weeks to 42 where they would then have to take the baby by C-Section, so Lindsey had made it a point to make sure that he was moved into Stevie's house and ready by the time that she went into labor.

She shifted uncomfortably in bed and looked at the clock on the nightstand. It read about two-thirty in the morning, the little date on the bottom corner saying Sept 15, and she just rolled her eyes and pushed herself out of the bed. She wasn't horribly big during this pregnancy which leads her to believe that her sweet little baby was going to be tiny, she was slightly grateful for that-hoping that she'd only have to potentially push for a short while. It was too early for her first dose of Klonopin during the day and though she didn't want to take it, she knew she had too. But she was scared because not much was known about this drug natally wise. They knew it could treat seizures and anxiety-why she was taking it-but they don't know what it does to a fetus and Stevie's so scared that her baby is going to come out deformed because of the unknown effects but her body can barely function without it.

She made her way downstairs to the kitchen and procured herself a glass of water and as she was leaning up against the island a hand fell to her stomach as a cramp fell over her stomach. She knew that her baby was running out of room in there so she just rolled her eyes and groaned out slightly before making her way to the living room to make herself comfortable on the couch.

As the hours ticked by Lindsey finally joined her downstairs right as she was taking her morning dosage of Klonopin around ten.

"What's going on?" Lindsey questions.

"The baby is moving around a lot and it's kind of uncomfortable. I couldn't lay down anymore and I came down here about two-thirty this morning." Stevie explains popping the pill into her mouth and swigging it back with her glass of water.

"They're getting ready to come meet their mommy and daddy." Lindsey smiles kissing her forehead.

"Her mommy, you're not going to be around that much," Stevie smirks.

"I'm always going to be here, Cheri can shove her rules up her ass," Lindsey smirks.

"Stop it, Lindsey. This baby was a one night stand, I'm not going to wreck your relationship." Stevie shakes her head.

Lindsey watches her all day and occasionally she shifts uncomfortably and it was around six-thirty in the morning when Stevie stood up and made her way to the kitchen still in her afternoon Klonopin pop haze when she just stops and Lindsey jumps up placing his hands on her shoulders.

"What's wrong?" He questions.

"'Lindsey, I think something's wrong. I was going to make a hot water bottle because it feels like something is stabbing my spinal column but now, water is leaking down my leg and there's really painful pressure in my pelvis." Stevie explains one hand at her sacrum and the other hand under her stomach a slight bend in her knees.

"Okay, um...well, let's uh...let's get your hospital bag and then we'll go to the hospital I think you're in labor." Lindsey looks at her.

It was then that her eyes shifted into panic and tears started to fall.

"What's wrong? What's wrong?" Lindsey asks.
