"Okay, Mom, just got to Uni. I'll call you back in a little bit," Felix spoke into his phone, watching as the cab pulled up to the towering dorms. He smiled with sad eyes, only ever seeing the buildings through his laptop screen. The cab driver slowed down to a stop before turning back to Felix. He handed the money he set aside to pay. He quickly grabbed his luggage out of the back, pulling two medium-sized suitcases behind him away from the road.

"Okay, honey. I love you!" his mom exclaimed through the phone, though her voice wavered. His parents weren't taking the move as well as they thought they would. His dad was mildly less supportive than his mother in his decision to major in dance, but they both were worried about the distance between them; that they couldn't be there in a short amount of time if their baby needed them. Felix tried reassuring them that they could always call, but there was always that parental urge to be near their child.

"Love you too, Mom. Tell Dad I said hi and I love him," Felix kept his voice low, not wanting to confuse fellow students as he walked to one of the big stone buildings that had a huge letter B painted on the front. He looked at his paper that said his classes, schedule, and dorm number. B37. He folded the paper and put the side pocket of one of his suitcases.

His mom uttered an OK before Felix hung up, pocketing his phone into his blue jeans before pushing the doors open. He was greeted by a spacious, tan-colored room with small pieces of decor like pictures and potted plants spread around. It truly looked more beautiful on the inside than on the outside. He scanned the room, spotting the receptionist's desk in the center of the wall in front of him. He calmly walked over to the ginger girl at the oak desk.

"May I get keys for room B37?" Felix slowly spoke in accented Korean. Felix dreaded that he hadn't studied more before he got on the plane to Seoul, but he also dreaded studying, so he shoved the thought away.

The girl giggled and opened a drawer, followed by the shuffling of papers. "What's your name?" the unknown receptionist asked, voice breathy as she was bent over at the waist to get to the lower drawer.

"Lee Felix. It might say Lee Yongbok, though," he hesitated, playing with a small charm on one of his bracelets that hung loosely on his left wrist as he made sure he said the right thing. He heard the girl chuckle, making him admittedly a little self-conscious. He had never been the type to be socially outgoing, let alone in a second language. He was actually a lot more socially anxious than some people would think.

"You're a foreigner, huh? Where are you traveling from?" she inquired, intrigue flowing through her voice as she dug through files. Felix played with his hands more as he shifted from foot to foot, legs tired although he had been sitting in the cab for half an hour.

"Sydney, Australia. I'm still not as good at Korean as I would like, but I'll manage," Felix reflected as the unknown woman hummed along to show she was listening. By the time he had stopped speaking, she had pulled out his file and typed God knows what into the computer in front of her. She took a small key card out of the file and handed it to Felix, to which he hesitantly accepted.

"Well, I don't want to keep you couped up here when you still have to get everything to your room. My name is Soyeon, by the way," the now unknown receptionist, sticking out her hand for him to shake. Felix buffered, taking a few seconds to process her rushed words, but got it a few seconds later and shook her hand back. Felix thanked her before turning around and walking towards a door with a stairs sign next to it. Halfway there, though, Soyeon called out to him.

"Hm?" Felix hummed, Soyeon's eyes scanned over the screen a few more times before turning back to Felix, a smile plastered on her face.

"Your roommate is a close friend of mine. He's also Aussie and I think you guys will get really close, but it's not my place to give you more information on him. See you later!" Soyeon explained to a shocked Felix. 'What are the odds that two Australian kids end up in the same dorm?' Felix thought, before deciding that he should just be grateful. He waved to Soyeon before pulling him and his suitcases up a couple of flights of stairs.

Felix pushed open another metal door to be welcomed with the eggshell-white walls adorned by green trim, dark oak doors, and dorm number signs all in the 30s and 40s. He began to roam the fairly wide hallway, scanning his eyes over the room numbers, trying to find a 37. What he did find was fairly unexpected.

A boy, taller than himself, knocking on a door, and slapping the person that opened it.

'That's tea sis,' Felix thought at first, but he then figured that it could be serious.

Those thoughts were proven wrong when the boy who got slapped fell on the ground laughing as both boys made direct eye contact with him. Felix laughed along as the slapper just wore a resting bitch face, only making the two laugh more.

As the pair of strangers calmed down, the slappee got up and helped Felix off the floor that they both collapsed onto. "Sorry about that, man. Seungmin can be a little bitchy," he spoke and immediately got hit on the shoulder by who I assumed was Seungmin. "I'm Jisung. Han Jisung."

"The name's Felix. Lee Felix," he quoted James Bond, hoping that the two spoke the smallest bit of English so they could get the joke. Thankfully, Jisung laughed and Seungmin stifled a chuckle.

"Oh? What was that about you never laughing earlier?" Jisung interrogated Seungmin, Felix just taking in the pair's friendship. Seungmin turned to Jisung, another cold expression adorning his face.

"Shut the fuck up, you Alvin & The Chipmunk lookin' ass," Seungmin insulted, causing Jisung and Felix to break out into a laughing-fit again. It took longer to calm themselves down completely, but they decided to simmer down for the sake of the neighbors.

"Anyways, this was fun, but I gotta get to my dorm. I'll be in room 37 if you want to hang out?" Felix half-asked, hoping they'd say yes. Jisung nodded repeatedly before asking to put his number in Felix's phone. They exchanged numbers before going separate ways, Seungmin back to his dorm, and Felix further Into The Unknown.

After a minute or two of roaming, Felix finally met his dorm room. 'B37, huh? It feels a lot different in person...' Felix trailed as he reached into his pocket to pull out his key card. He lifted it below the scanner, the scanner flashing green before he heard the satisfying click of the door unlocking. He turned the knob and pushed forward, pulling both of his suitcases with one hand behind him.

He strolled into the half-occupied room, taking in the smell of coconut and lavender. On the right wall was where the two medium-sized beds laid against, a good yard apart from each other, each having its own set of drawers and tiny desk with a lamp on it and three drawers below it. On the left, there was a small kitchen-livingroom-like area. A small TV was on a short table against the wall, and to the right of it was a fridge, a small cooktop, an oven, a microwave, a few cabinets, and a marble & wood countertop. In the center wall was a large window, brightening up the dull-white walls, that was blockable via large blue curtains.

Felix dragged his suitcases to the empty bed closer to the far wall, flopping himself down on the soft bed, heaving a sigh he didn't know he was conjuring up. He already knew that, in the brightness of midday Seoul, he would almost kill to pass out on that bed. But, sadly, Felix just stared up at the popcorn ceiling, feeling like he does every night - like you're just reaching for something that seems so in-reach, yet so far away.

Felix rolled himself up to where he sat on the edge of the bed, deciding he'd just watch some TV until something eventful happened to himself.

'I hope my roommate doesn't think I'm some sort of weirdo that broke into his room to steal his cable or something,' Felix thought, obviously starting to get bored out of his mind. One thing that he did know, though, was that things wouldn't stay so bland forever.
