Chapter 7- Guns n' Orchids

I threw my dorm's door open and took a deep breath as I walked in. It was only my first day of school, and yet I was completely exhausted.

I took off my shoes and hung my black leather jacket at the room's entrance.

"My sweet bed!" I exclaimed as I threw myself at my bed. I sighed happily, laying there for a good five minutes just staring at the ceiling.

My mind was empty, complete void.

I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket. Who could it be?

I fished my phone out and starred at the screen. It read a call from "Papà".

I picked up. "Papà! È bello sentire la tua voce! I've had a rough day, I'm exhausted." (It's good to hear your voice)

"Bambina! How are you?"

"I'm fine. Everything's going smoothly here. Abi and I got a beautiful suite, thank you by the way, I attended my classes and I have to admit: they're quite interesting."

He chuckled, "Well, well. I just wanted to check up on you. Are you coming home this weekend?"

I hummed thoughtfully, "Hm... yes, I might. Is there anything I should know about?"

"No, everything's fine. See you this weekend then!" He said before hanging up.

Ah, dad! Always in a hurry.

One thing you should probably know about my dad, is that he's one of the most serious and conventional men I've ever known.

For some, I look rational, serious, and my friends would qualify me as 'boring'. But I know for a fact that those are my dad's traits. Dad is very rational, logical, cold-blooded and methodic; I guess that's what makes him a good leader.

And I guess this is what I should be in order to become the next leader.

I stared my phone, smiling sadly as I caressed the screen that displayed my wallpaper; a picture of him and I. Sighing, I locked the gadget and got up from my bead.

I grabbed the bag I usually use for short trips, and threw in some undergarments, a plain white "Levi's" hoodie, and a pair of socks.

I didn't need anything else; I still had everything at my house, my leather leggings, my leather jackets and my boots.

My closet looks the same everywhere. Maybe I actually am boring, after all.

After I had packed everything, I grabbed my phone and started dialing Abi's number.

"I'm going back to the mansion; Ricardo is picking us in an hour. Where are you?!"
I exclaimed as soon as she picked up.

"Oh, I'm in the cafeteria buying Oreos from the vending machine-"

"Get me a Toblerone and be here in five." I ordered before I hung up on her.

I threw myself on the bed as I stared again at the white, plain ceiling, waiting for Ricardo to come and pick us.

"Hello girls!" I heard Ricardo exclaiming with his Italian accent and a big, sweet smile plastered across his face, while he went out to open the door for us.

"Hey Ricky!" Abi retorted as we both entered the black SUV's backseat.

I hated how overprotective my father was.
