Song: Ghost of you by 5SOS

I got woken up from my deep slumber by the annoying rays of sunshine. I forgot the close the curtains yesterday before I fell asleep.

I lifted my head from my pillow and glanced at it; it was covered in mascara and foundation from last night's breakdown. Damn, someone will have to wash these.

The clock on my bedside table read the time 7 AM, meaning I had one hour to get ready for my first official class. I groaned loudly and forced myself to get up, stretching my drowsy body in the process.

As I was making my way to the bathroom, the sweet scent of caffeine made its way into my nostrils and my chest filled with jot. MY PRECIOUS DRINK!

"I made you coffee!" I heard Abi screaming from the kitchen.

"ABI I FREAKING LOVE YOU!" I rejoiced before entering the bathroom.

What the hell? I was looking at my reflection in the mirror; my eyes were red and puffy, my hair was a literal MESS, and mascara residue was unevenly spread across my cheeks. I look terrifying.

I splashed my face with cold water and washed it until all that leftover makeup was gone. I put my hair in a bun and applied some concealer which did absolute wonders to my pimples and eye bags. Concealer is definitely one of the finest creations out there, isn't it?

I straightened my hair, groggily got dressed and went to the kitchen to drink my coffee.

"Abigail Celine Ricci got out of bed early, AND cooked breakfast? What has the world come to? God, are you sure you're okay?" I sarcastically asserted.

Never in my life I have seen Abi wake up early, or at least before me, except for her 13th birthday (she got very excited) and on the day of  *his* funeral.

"You weren't acting like yourself yesterday, Scarlett," She looked at me, her gaze full of worry, and rubbed my shoulders comfortingly. "As your best friend, it's my duty to fulfill."

"I'm okay." I fake-smiled at her. I didn't want her to worry about me.

Her eyebrows knitted together.
"If you say so." She didn't push the matter any further then switched her attention to her grilled cheese sandwich and handed me mine.

Not gonna lie, I loved all this pampering. I deserved it, didn't I?

"Well, we have our first class in 10'." I alerted. I grabbed my stuff hurriedly and headed for the door. "I'm leaving." I told Abi, as I exited our dorm.

"You bitch." I heard her mumbling. Typical Abi.

I strolled down the halls, not paying much attention to my surroundings. I didn't want to miss my first class of the year.

I bumped into something- rather someone, very strong, and I lost my balance, falling to the ground with my belongings.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, let me help you." I heard a familiar voice stutter as a burst of masculine laughter erupted in the background.

I laughed too. It was Sergio -the lockers guy, the french one- I bumped into. He reached out his hand to help me get up and started packing my stuff.

"Damn, you fucked up big time, bro." a deep husky voice muttered as I stood up and quickly dusted my outfit.

I looked at the guy I recognized as Daniel Matthew. Blue eyes, irresistible body, broad shoulders and black, well groomed, straight hair.

"And you are?" I commented, raising my eyebrow at him.
