The next morning, Ashton's spot is cold. I sit up quickly, looking around with panic. This is why I don't tell people. They run off and leave me. I think, trying not to let tears fall. I'm really glad they didn't hook up a heart rate monitor to me.
I look up at the door, expecting it to be a nurse. I quickly wipe my eyes and look down before I see who it is.
"Why are you crying?What's wrong? What happened?" I relax when I hear his voice and I look up at Ashton's confused face. A look of understanding came over him before he came and hugged me. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I went and got breakfast for us, see?" Ashton says, pointing to my bedside table.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions. But when it happened, my dad walked out and never came back." I say, and Ashton presses a quick kiss onto my forehead. He quickly turned and awkwardly brought me some pancakes that looked amazing. He had a slight blush on his face, but I'm sure I did also.
I mumble a thank-you to him as I cut the pancake. I offer him a bite, but he declines and sits down next to me again.
I jump when I hear the door open and I see Luke walking in, Calum trailing behind him. Michael came in behind them, Crystal's hand in his.
"Good morning!" I say, pretending I hadn't been crying minutes earlier. Ashton smiles and starts talking to the guys, something about the show. I gasp, throwing the thin hospital blanket off me.
"What do you think you're doing?" Ashton says, a playful smile on his face.
"I need to get to the studio. I'm going to disappoint my fans." I say, trying to get up.
Ashton wraps his arms around my waist and makes me stay sitting, ignoring my pouts while he resumes the conversation.
"Ro, we called your office. They wouldn't let you in if you wanted to." Ashton says, and I sigh.
"But the fans, they're going to-" I check my phone that starts blowing up.
