Avengers Tower
Tony walks into the seating room where the rest of the Avengers are having coffee.
Tony walks up to Steve. "Wanna play checkers, Rogers", Tony asks Steve. Steve looks at Natasha who nods at Tony.
"Sure, whatever, Tony", Steve says, setting his coffee down. Tony pats Steve on the back.
"Thor, get your hammer ready", Tony says as he grabs the checker board. Tony sits the game down in front of Natasha and Clint. Natasha takes the board and throws it to Steve.
"Come on, Romanoff. Have a little fun", Tony says.
Natasha rolls her eyes. "I'll have fun by watching the game, not playing it", she says as she stands up to get another cup of coffee.
"Sir, Miss August is here. Should I let her in", JARVIS asks. Everyone freezes and looks at Tony.
"Yeah, go ahead", Tony says.
As soon as the Avengers start their game of Checkers, August comes out of the elevator. "Captain Steve Rogers. Uncle Thor." She called out.
Steve and Thor rush over to August. The rest of the Avengers stopped their game and turned their attention to Thor, August and Steve.
August was out of breath. She put Tulip in Steve's arms. "M-My Dad was there. He was at my cabin. He said he needed me to come with him and I didn't know where else to go", She said. The Avengers could hear the panic in August's voice. Tears fell down her face as she spoke.
"You'll be safe here", Thor promises.
"You did the right thing to come here, August", Steve says.
Tulip bleats. "See, Tulip agrees", Steve says, chuckling. August laughs a little. Steve puts Tulip in August's arms.
"Is it okay if Tulip and I stay here with you guys?" August asks
"Of course", Thor says with a grin. August sets Tulip down on the ground. Tulip crawls over to Tony, Natasha and Clint.
"Is this animal trained", Tony asks as he looks down at Tulip strangely.
"Of course", August replies.
Tulip and Tony have a staring contest. Tony lost. "Do you guys want to have sheep for dinner", Tony asks.
"TONY", The Avengers shouted at once.
"This is why nobody likes you", Clint blurted out.
Tony ignored him because his modo was: "Everyone loves a piece of Stark".
August gasps at Tony's words as Tulip runs over to her. August picks her up and Tulip cuddles in her arms.
"You monster. Tulip is my family and she's only a baby", August says sternly.
"Tony, watch your baaaaaaack. This girl has some baaaaaad attitude", Clint jokes. He holds up his hand for Natasha to high five him, she keeps her arms crossed and shakes her head.
"Well this 'baby' looks delicious", Tony says smacking his lip.
"SHE'S MY BABY. GET YOUR OWN", August shouts at Tony.
"What kind of breed is she?" Natasha asks.
"Tulip is a Valais Blacknose", August replies.
"And my dinner", Tony mumbles. August growls at Tony's words. Thor puts his large hand on August's shoulder.
"There's a room here for you and Tulip", Thor says to change the topic.
"It's Stark proof", Clint says, earning a chuckle from Bruce.
Thor and Steve take August and Tulip to their new room. They didn't have much stuff since they left in a hurry, but the room still looked nice. August took a nap so that she could clear her mind on what happened with her father. August kept Tulip close to her while she was sleeping just incase Clint was joking about it being Stark proof.
