"Okay, first off, take a breather, and second off everyone is great. But how are you? Long time no see. Are you still into cars or have you grown out of that?" Jace said smiling.
I looked up at him with the biggest grin on my face and laughing. "No, cars weren't quite a phase for me, I am actually into racing now. But I don't like to have my face known, so when at school, I tend to wear very baggy clothing but whenever I go to the track, I am so much more confident. Oh, I almost forgot, I have a huge race tonight, do you want to come? We can catch up afterwards if you're going to be here for a while." I responded.
"Sure, I'd love to!" He responded "I will be in town for a little while, not completely sure for how long, but we will have more than enough time to catch up for sure. But I would most definitely like to see what this excitement of yours is about when it comes to racing. I've never really had much of a part in the racing world." He said enthused.
"Fantastic!" I responded. "It's honestly a huge adrenaline rush and once you get a taste, it's hard to go back. At least that is how it has been in my case." I said while breaking into another small fit of laughter.
"Well I will just have to get a taste of it for myself then tonight. What time is the race? Where is it at?" Jace asked.
Truly ecstatic, I replied "It's at this place called The Playground, I will text you all the information you need to make it easier!"
"Sweet! It'll be just like the old days. Me being a bit of a loner following my cool cousin right into a burning pit of fire." He said almost looking serious.'
"Hey, that's not fair." I said acting a little bit hurt. "I'm not even cool."
He let out a small chuckle. "I'm just messing with you, but we all know you really do take us into burning pits of fire."
I sighed "Yeah, true, true. I can't help it. But it's too late to take back agreeing to come now. To the burning pit of fire we go!" as I dash away dramatically.
