At the tranquil
Belle’s point of view
I waked up and sensed something was wrong before I even opened my eyes.
I knew it, I wasn’t at home but whatever I was laying on was too hard to be my bed.
I sniffed for I was afraid to open my eyes and wondering if I was still dreaming.
I smelt disinfectant and that worried me more.
I braced myself and opened my eyes.
‘hmmmmm’
“Where am I-” I was suddenly shocked when I see myself in a hospital bed;
my right arm was hooked up to a machine and my head hurt like a hell.
“Ouch” I scream in pain
I looked at the surrounding and shuddered, ‘this place looks worse than hell’
I stare at the brick wall with a glass window; my room has a good view of the parking lot on the other side of the left wall.
Other people are here with me.
Suddenly I noticed some movement in my right side;
I turn to see my mom asleep on the chair next to my bed.She looked terrible; older
I guessed it was me being here that had done that to her, I wondered how much trouble I was in.
“Mom?” I asked
It scared the hell out of me when she sat up so quickly after she heard me calling her.
“Oh my god Belle! You’re awake!”
She cried practically crushing me with a hug.Up close, I could see that she was definitely looking worse than the last time I saw her.
She was starting to go grey; her perfect brown hairs are now fading and her eyes looked sadder.
I lean back in the uncomfortable small bed ‘When was I’ve been here?’
Then I noticed the snowfall outside, seems like it’s already December.
“Mom, what happened?”
I asked just as the doctor walked in“You’ve been out for three months” he said “How’s your feeling now?”
I stared for a moment trying to process what I’ve heard
‘Been out for 3 months?!’
I look confused as the doctor started writing notes “Fine, I guess, my head hurt” I said instead
He jotted down some more notes and then he looked at me again
‘What’s he looking at?’
“What’s the last thing you remember?”
He asked that made me starting to think…*Flash back…
I got up from the chair and walked to the comfort room
As I got there
I washed my face with water then…
I stared at my wet face in the mirror for a whileWhen suddenly I felt some sensation of spinning around and my eyes suddenly dimmed
I tried to cling somewhere but I couldn’t
Later on,
I was already on the floor lying down in wet tiles. Then…
I didn’t know what happened next.*End...
“That’s all I’ve remembered” I said while trying to remember something, anything.
I sat there for a moment working out what I’ve still remembered.
But later on,
I shake my head for I didn’t remember everything that happened to me before I passed out.*Silence
The doctor stopped from writing as he was confused.
He put his pen on his coat and placed his medical note in the table.
“One more question…
When did this happen?”
