The next day, Emily arrives to the studio to hear the ear piercing sounds of police sirens. When she parked her car she immediately ran out to see what the commotion was all about.
When she got to the front she saw that joey was yelling in the cops’ face. Emily went up to meet Wally, Tom, Allison and Norman. She asks them what happened. Tom and norman explained that someone wrecked the studio. They exchanged glances and told her that they think it may have been Sammy. Emily couldn't believe that he would ever do something like that. Sammy may have anger issues but he would never let it cause him to loose his job. Joey finally arrived
and started yelling at the officers. He started to be even more scary that anyone has ever seen. One of the officers was thrown back when he heard Joey shouting. Emily could tell who was new to the studio since they were surprized. She looked over at Buddy who was as pale as a ghost. He has never seen Joey get so mad. As Emily and Allison talked, she brought up a point to call Susie; see if she knew anything. Obviously the police would have questioned her, but no
one that knew about Susie and Sammy were allowed to say anything about it. Even Joey didn’t know. When Emily got home she immediately called Susie to ask her about Sammy. “Susie are you there”, Emily asked.
“Yes, who is this?”
“This is Emily Hathaway”
“Oh, Emily how are you,” Susie asked.
“I’m ok, but have you seen Sammy?”
“No. I didn’t see him at all yesterday. I think he went to work early. Why,” she paused, hearing the sirens in the background. “What’s going on?”
“Sammy went missing and the studio was trashed this morning.” Emily responded.
“Oh, my. I’m sorry but I don’t know where he is.”
“Did he say anything about the studio. Was he mad?”
“No. Well……”
“‘Well’ What?” Emily pushed.
“Nothing, he is just mad I got fired again.”
“That happened months ago. That can’t be the reason. Tell me the truth.”
“That is the truth. He told me that he has been having nightmares and…”
“Did he say anything about a machine?” Emily asked.
“......”
“SUSIE?”
“N-no. he didn’t.”
“Tell the truth.”
“He didn’t ok. I don’t know anything about Joey’s machine!” Susie shouted as she hung up. Emily was confused. She never said anything about it being Joey’s. Did she know about it? Why would Joey be making a Machine? And what for?
